Hey Ya'll, I have been waffling back and forth about whether to build a trailer or not as well as should I build from scratch or should I build off of a base trailer. After much research and searching around, and inspired by 3378jakesr5's trailer build, I have decided to just go for it. Jake was nice enough to share the materials that he used for his trailer so it gives me a great starting point.

I plan on doing something very similar to his but with a few variations.

    Plans:
Based around a TruckVault that I purchased on CL which will be the floor of the trailer.
29gal water tank for use with a Eccotemp L5 shower.
    Max coupler swivel hitch
    Kayak/Bike rack sides
    RTT/Awning rack
    6x5.5 electric brake axle
    Additional battery and fuse block

This is what I have come up with for the frame. There is a support to match each of the supports for the TruckVault and I had to extend the from just a few inches to accommodate the size of my tank. I haven't decided whether I am going to make a drop down or swing-out tailgate. If I do a swing-out I will most likely do a single or double tire carrier.

Ya, I just bought a nice Lincoln wire feed welder and huge welding table. I was debating on I was going to start working on it right away abut I think I am going to push this to a fall/winter project and try to get my high clearance rear bumper (waiting for jeverich) and dual battery setup done first.

So many projects, so little time/money. It is hard to decide which ones to work on but I think I would use my dual batteries (lights, etc) before I would be able to finish and use the trailer.
