I haven't discussed financing on mine yet, do they have any deals? I have >800 credit so I know I can get the best rate, just haven't figured out what that is yet. Worst case I use my credit union @ 1.99%.

Get on the dealer website and find the person listed as fleet sales and call them direct. Or call general number for any dealer and ask for fleet sales.

When can I expect to see 16's on the road/at the dealer? I don't want one, but will definitely test drive one.

Toyota is planning release Sept 1-5. Until then all the updates to the builds in August are "Silence! or I keel you".

My credit union is offering 1.49 percent for new cars in the Tacoma price range. I will be financing 20k or so of it.

Toyotathon offers 0% at the end of each model year

I agree. I got ready to order one and was sent the price.
I'm going back to the Ford dealer this weekend.

I'm sorry but these trucks aren't worth the price tag. So now I just have to decide if I'm ok with grossly over paying for one of these things.

How do you deal direct with fleet sales? I'd like to skip the salesman as well. So frustrating when we know so much more about the vehicle than they do. I am also finding zero willingness to look at allocations to find a vehicle for me. I read on here that people are grabbing allocated vehicles that were originally destined for thousands of miles away. My dealers look at me like I have two heads when I ask for that. Please help direct me straight to the fleet guys if that will help!

Typically you can't just go in and ask for the fleet guy. Fleet sales normally handles deals for rental car companies and such.

At my work, we have an established connection to Ford and Toyota fleet sales. It's only through that connection that I'm able to purchase one through the fleet salesman.

Costco used to have a connection like that. It might be worth a trip to Costco and a membership if they still do.

My fleet guy was able to get a truck that was allocated for different a dealership AND he was able to change the color on the order.
Either they don't like to or they don't want to change equipment levels on the truck he found one equipped just how I wanted it.

Something does not sound right. I think you need to do go back to the drawing board and re-do your homework

And why would I want to do that? The wife has given me carte blanche to get a new truck.

And just for giggles, what part doesn't sound right?

Dude, you are going to pay more than a couple grand more for a 2016. The 15 are being marked down by 2000 to 3000 dollars.

Can you get 0% financing on a Tacoma? I didn't think that Toyotathon financing offers were applicable to the entire portfolio of cars.

    First off, I don't want a '15. I don't like any of the 2015 colors. I want a blue one and don't like the 2015 dark blue.
Second, I ALREADY HAVE THE GREEN LIGHT TO GET A '16.
Third, I'm getting my '16 at fleet price so it's under MSRP.
And last, did I mention I ALREADY HAVE THE GREEN LIGHT TO GET A '16?

Sorry, I only mention financing for others to compare with. I'm paying cash.
In my case, I got a VERY generous settlement when a knucklehead on his phone totaled my last one.

I disagree! My last 4 vehicles were purchased via a Fleet Sales person. I walked into a dealership right past all the salesmen and asked for Fleet Sales. They ask if I have an appointment and I say no! Just did it to both Toyota dealers for the 16 TACO. While Fleet Sales do handle Internet and special cons(Costco and company fleet), they will work with you without all the BS the regular sales guys give you. Just sent a member here on this forum to a Fleet Sales guy where he locked in a DCSB OR.

If its that easy then why doesn't every one buy vehicles that way. There's gotta be something missing here.

Maybe because I ride up on my Harley and give that "Don't Fu** with me" stare so the most the salesmen do is hold the door open for me.... LOL

When I bought my 08 Jeep Unlimited I asked the salesmen for a brochure. Later I showed up and went straight to the Fleet Sales person and the other salesman tried their hardest to get the Fleet to give them the sale since he gave me a brochure. Bastages!

Placed my order today, dealer said something about possibly modifying a unit going into production to get here earlier.

Blue ribbon TRD sport access cab, 6 speed manual, bed hooks, no other options...I didn't even want tow package. 500 off msrp but giving me 23k for my 11 trd sport dcsb with 50k on the odo.

I'm hoping for early Oct delivery.
