I would think that for gussets it would be strongest the run a few long bars radially from the ball joint spreading out toward the wider end, like rays of the Sun. Then maybe a few small pieces to connect the "rays" to eachother. A LCA doesn't really see twisting does it? Gusseting would be best designed to guard against bending right around the shock mount.

Yea most of the force is really between the shock mount and spindle mount, the pivots on the truck are more of a guide for the wheel travel more than anything, and yes doing ribs for the most part, my lower spindle pivot is a solid chunk of steel that I cut sum grooves into for sum ribs n stuff, it will be pretty dang tough I think

Cool. Don't forget some pics! In order to weld the top sides do you just cut slots in the plate corresponding to the gusset bars then weld the edge? Sorry for all the questions but this project is right up my alley. I could see myself trying this as well in the future.

Yea pretty much gunna rotobroach sum holes in a few spots to tie the internal framing together, using 1.75" square tube for basic internal frame in conjunction with ribs where the arm starts its taper to the pivot lug

I figure square tube is really easy to set up and has a good resistance to bending, plus its sandwiched between 3/16" plate and there's gusseting on top of that..... Think it'll be strong enough? I'm pretty confident in it, I mean I'm gunna drive the thing and bet my potential life on my fabricating ability lol, also I'm leaving sum pics out because there's sum shit in there that I've spent a bunch of time figuring out angles and stuff that I'd like to keep my secrets, I kinda understand why kits are soo expensive though

Have you cycled it with that LCA ? The reason I ask is because a flat LCA like that I believe may cause you issues with the bottom of the CV boot hitting the top of the LCA at droop ( at the end near the spindle ) I believe that is why most of the companies make the LCA in a "v" shape. I've had two different kits from two different companies where I have had to add spacers between the be adapt and spindle to keep the CV boot from smashing the LCA.

Ah I see, you are using ( for lack of a better term ) an outboard uniball adapter similar to how TC does their LCA's. Nice work !

Need to cut and bend three more pieces to fill the pockets between the pivots then I can move on to shock tabs and limit straps
