You smart ass!!! Me thinks it can hold this clown, a really tall clown, and even a 4 legged clown or two :D

PS: Main thing is, it can hold lots more clowns than a Yaris for sure!! :proposetoast:

How do I find one guys??? Called another dealer that says they have them on their website, but he said those are all already spoken for by other people (then why the hell are they on your site???). Surely there are some available somewhere in the NW. We'd drive as far as Boise or Seattle for the right car.

I'm going to give you a hint. That model is not 22K. That's the EX model. It gets the nicer headlights, fog lights, rims, signal mirrors, and chrome accents. That truck is 25K. May as well buy a 2016 Tacoma for that :D.

I know. The base model is just fine with me though!!! Could care less about getting a sunroof if I can have that car and not spend an extra $3K. Kinda like giving up a candy bar for a lobster dinner. :D

I still think it's funny you want absolute reliability but you are going to buy a car in it's first year of production ever...

Sorry just had to mention that. Seriously look into the CRZ. People bought that thinking it used the bulletproof Honda hybrid drive and Civic chassis so it should hold up as well and they have been a nightmare for reliability. Hopefully the HRV doesn't have the same sort of issues.

Just FYI most of the review sites I see have it far behind the Nissan Juke, Mazda CX-3, and Fiat 500x in terms of initial quality and drive.

Then again, I wouldn't count on the Fiat staying in one piece lol. I don't know anything about the Mazda CX-3 though.

Can't find anything that fits our needs better though!! Of course it makes me nervous that it's in 1st yr production. But find me something that better suits ALL of our needs/wants and is ~$20K or less.........because I can't find it!!

Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3. Both have better power and performance in the same sort of package. Both have the fold flat rear as well and give you more for your money. Both are not boring CUV's relying on the Honda name to sell their product.

Sorry if I showed my Honda bias their. I find there designs antiquated, other than the 2016 Civic type R of course :D.

I recommend driving at least 2 of those, if the Juke makes you puke lol, so you can at least compare and see if the Honda is worth the lack of performance.

No on the Nissan Puke. Sorry. :D

Did the Mazda CX3 really score that well in reliability? Better than HRV? How long has the CX3 been around?

EDIT: Not seeing any Mazda CX3's from any year but 2016. Are they new this year too?

Yes, sorry, when I said drive the CX-3 I meant for comparison. Basically Nissan was the first company to bring this class of vehicle to North America. Everyone else is new. I'm just passing on the solid advice not to hone in on one model because of the badge on the front. Drive it, and drive the competition, so you can judge for yourself :).

Just arranged for the Civ to be towed away Wed. AM by a pick & pull place, for $189. That pretty much covers what we spent on it recently at least. This car just keeps on giving back. Was kinda sad/hard to make that call!! A little teary eyed right now :pout: Gonna be tough to watch them haul her away. :sadviolin:

Guys, why the heck do we bond with giant hunks of metal so much???????????

NEVER!!! We might need more stuff from you!!! Ha ha ha. For real though, you can't get rid of that truck!!! Too special. Plus you have the space anyway. Keep it!! Ya never know what parts you might make a few bucks off over the coming years.....

Kind of ironic that we just ripped out that fence section to open up the driveway to the backyard. The Civ is sitting there facing where the new driveway gate will go, like it's waiting to drive on back and become a really big obnoxious back yard ornament!! Unique dog house for Dolly maybe? Who's with me? :D

Or your car is quietly screaming "please kill me, I'll even go in the back yard where no one will see you do it" :D

Stop moping around and look to the memories you'll be making. You're harshing my Karma.

Waiting for test drive reviews. These aught to be good...and I want input from Dolly's dad even if you have to write for him.

Careful Sterdog. It's not polite to speak badly about the deceased. The dirty deed is done, her final arrangements are made. It's time to reflect on the happy times with the Civ!!

I remember when I bought her. I knew my Accord was slowly but surely dying and it was time to start looking. Of course, I went straight to my local Honda dealer after liking my Accord so well. Told the guy I wanted another blue 4 dr Accord with sunroof for less than $10K with less than 100K miles. :D He assured me he'd keep his eye out.

He called me at work a few days later, and told me he had the PERFECT car for me.

    "Does it have 4 doors?"
    No. 2 doors.

    "Is it blue?"
    No. It's red.

Almost hung up on him when I heard the color. But then he pointed out the low miles, low price, sunroof, and my beloved Honda reliability. Talked me into letting him drive to my work on my lunch break, "just to see it, not even drive it, just to give the red a glance." He pulled up right outside the front doorway of my work in a snazzy looking (at the time anyway) little red Civic coupe, with the sunroof open, and of course the weather was perfect that day - crystal clear blue skies and bright beautiful sunshine. This guy was good! A coworker ran out with me to see it, and convinced me that we should both hop in and go for a spin. I was sold instantly. It was fun and ridiculously easy to drive, and knew that car would last a long time relatively problem free, be affordable, and at least I got my sunroof!

A few hours later, I was picking my boss' brain (an attorney, the ultimate negotiator! YES!) for tips on how to negotiate the price with them, as I planned to go straight there after work to buy it. I was excited, and he saw that and tried his best to teach me all about KBB and how to talk to those salesmen and financing people. I was in my early 20's and this was my first big car loan! He persuaded me to INSIST that I not pay a dime over KBB, and even printed it out for me to take with.

I had that document clutched in my sweaty little hands, sitting there nervously trying my best to figure out how the hell someone as "open book" as I am could conjure up a poker face. In retrospect, I don't think I did a very good job of hiding my nerves. But I did a great job following his advice!! Went back and forth with them and even took it to the point of nearly walking out when they wouldn't give me the price I wanted. And then they finally did - felt great as a young woman handling it on my own!! :D

This concludes today's Civic eulogy. :D
