What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

So glad I got the opportunity to build my truck the summer before I started college. And I'm like you, I don't waste my money on all that stuff

 

Over 10 years and 100k of ownership. Lifted right after purchase and SC 80k ago. The old muffler that was right next to it didnt help. It takes 32 minutes to change while drinking a beer and if I remember to swap it for warranty can get 2-3 years out of them. That was also when I DD'd it. Now I'm lucky to put 2k on the truck in a year.

 

So you can use both hands to put some torque on the nut.

thx man. It talks about compatibility with acorn type lugs but nothing specifically about the splined ones.

also im not sure what hub centric and wheel centric means

 

Changed my rear glass out with an 01-04 style glass. I like these much better.




Now just need to change the quarter windows to get rid of the reflective glass.

 

Ah that's nice. Way better than the dumb double sliders. Expensive swap?

Splined are acorn type,

Hub centric means the center bore of the wheel is precisely cut to fit the hub on a specific vehicle. Lug centric uses acorn style lugs which are round on the base to center the wheel and hold it there. Most after market wheels have center bores cut to fit most models that have a specific lug pattern. Our case being Chevy, Toyota, ect. Splined lug nuts have an acorn style base.

 

Yes way better. Not too expensive. Got it locally for 75 dollars. Then got it tinted.

Drove it, and pulled an F-250 out of the mud.
Yesterday I managed to get it stuck where the f-250 got stuck today, but only because I was pulling a trailer so I went to slow to keep my momentum.

Anybody have a preference between the SpiderTrax and the AllPro 1.25" spacers?

 

So Deaver is designing a set of custom leafs for me. I haven't seen them yet but I think it will be a progressive spring with a mini 2nd stage overload spring. Also not sure on the lift yet. I'm hoping for about 3" to 3.5" total. Toytec makes a nice adjustable shackle that can make up the difference if the spring lift is less (+1, +1.5, +2).

They look TRD with bedliner on them.

 

If you begin stretching your butt cheeks now, then it won't hurt as bad when they give you the bill. I have deaver Springs as well...
