    This is quite a thread necro. The answer is no. Manual is available on 4x4's only. You can get the 4 cylinder 5 speed MT 4x4 in the SR trim.

    Great give and take, you guys were funny !
    Schwin should have made the transmission then you could have a dérailleur at the rear diff and a chain from the motor back. A chain could handle all the massive torque from that 2.7.

    We have a small fleet of 5 speed 2.7Ls that tow lots of things with their massive torque. Including some small dinghy sailboats, just like yours (420 or 470?) and even a few J24s, Melges 20, 24.
    Bullet proof! Said to see them go.

    The 5-speed on the 2.7L is an updated version of the one used on the 2005-2015. Mechanically the only real changes are added synchros and different gear ratios designed to work with the updated power output of the Dual VVT-i version of the engine.

    As said before, manual transmissions can only be had on 4WD models (for the 2.7L and 3.5L).
