If that was your worst vehicle it sounds like you've been pretty fortunate.

    I find this hilarious.
I had a '78 Bertone X-1/9. Same thing fix, fix, fix.
I also have a funny story about my x1/9 (that still sits and exists in my friends driveway/shed...haha) that is too long to tell right now...

But the bottom line is....I've been doing the same thing to my 08 Tacoma. lol.
    I'm cursed I guess.

Worst vehicles I have ever owned - 1991 Ford Explorer, 2001 Ford Windstar, 1998 Ford F350, 1999 Ford Ranger, and a 1996 Mazda 626 (back in the Ford parternship days). Notice a theme? To their credit Ford has really picked up their quality as of late. Sold the Windtard and the F350 back in 2007 to get a brand new 2007 Tundra (me) and a 2007 Sienna (wife) and have had ZERO issues in 8 years.

A new '88 Chevy C20 pick up. I couldn't get everything working at the same time in order to sell it. Worst thing was a horn that went off when the temperature reached 8 degrees. Imagine a cold blustery winter night, about 2AM, and your horn goes off and won't quit. Imagine how your neighbors would react. After it happened a couple times, I just pulled the fuse when the temps were supposed to drop that low. Tranny went out @ 2400 miles. Stereo quit first day home. The list goes on and on....Also, I pulled in the driveway in it one day and was met by a guy serving me papers on my divorce. Last Chevy I ever owned.

Before you say, "why did you own so many Fords if they obviously failed you", I should preface by saying that the Explorer (handed down from my dad), the Ranger (Inherited from wife when we started dating, sold it two months into our courtship), and the 626 (bailing out my sister from a bad situation) were not necessarily by choice:).

My 2014 Jeep Cherokee. We owned it 5 months but it spent 62 days in the dealers shop. It had the famous wobble, no start, touch screen may or may not work, shifter quit working and the 4X4 kept overheating. This all started about 1500 miles. Jeep did buy it back. We got a card in the mail a few days ago asking how our july warranty visit went. Jeep bought it back in March. So it still has problems.

the jeep death wobble. the factory hardware was just a hair too small for the holes in the wranglers. lots of guys replaced the OEM hardware with grade 8 in a slightly larger size. cant remember what it was though. shame, thats scary stuff

2000 Dodge Durango. They put the intake manifold on wrong. Every now and then it would suck 3 quarts of oil thru the exhaust. Had to carry oil cans for when it would occur. They wouldn't cover under warranty, even though they knew it was their problem. They could claim I didn't maintain the oil/filter recommended intervals. The 5.9 got about 12mpg.

Most unreliable vehicle I've ever experienced is my wife's 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. Constantly replacing sensors, 4wd system was clunky and hesitant to engage, would randomly die while driving with no warning, and start right up when the key was turned. I was always chasing random gremlins. It was pretty comfortable to drive however when it did work. I try to stay away from Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products now.

The multi function transmission switch ($500) controlled shifting, back up lights, dash lights, and the fackin' radio. It was hidden up on a ledge of the transmission that required you to take off a transmission mount and reach up and over (knuckle busting space). Also had to sacrifice an 8mm hex socket, the glue the hex head into a ratchet wrench to take off the mount that was wedged between the tranny and steel wheel well. That or pull the motor and tranny.

Transmission fluid had to be added with a pump in a hole on the opposite side of the tranny with the car jacked up perfectly level. Too much or too little and it wouldn't shift.

You just looked at that car and it broke down.

Wife bought an '01 Honda Civic EX new in early 2001. It never broke down per se.....but was in the shop for numerous recalls, TSB's and lots of warranty claims....from poor a/c output to bad cruise control to a leaky moonroof seal....and many others, including some paint issues.

Worst I experienced was my brother's (thank God it wasn't mine) 2008 dodge caliber. Those cars have an unsealed fuse box and if you were to drive in lots of rain or through a puddle, water would splash up and in and fry all sorts of stuff. One headlight didn't work (bulb and wiring were fine), it went through two sets of ball joints in 40,000 km with correct alignment, it occasionally wouldn't shift into drive (stupid cvt), the engine mounts all cracked, and various other issues I've never experienced myself. I finally convinced him to trade it in for an older Toyota rav4 and he's FINALLY written off domestics. The RAV is basic but bombproof.

Mine was my first truck. It was a 2000 GMC Sonoma Highrider with the 4.3 L Vortec V6...I loved that truck as I put all my money into that truck( I was 16). All the hard work I put into it was a waste though as it kept breaking down on me

Toss up between a 1977 Dodge Aspen and a 2001 Grand-Am. The Dodge had a terrible transmission, went through 3 of them. To make matters worse, was an Aspen R/T and very hard to find parts for.

The Grand Am was the biggest POS, just cheap and disposable. Everything started breaking at the 4 year mark. Knobs, window regulators, seals etc.

We have a 2008 Dodge Ram at work and it's a POS, just cheaply built. Seems to always be in the shop. Guess that's the reason I'm in a USA built Taco.

Now the best are/were a 64 Chevelle and a 67 VW. Built to last and both got me 200k each. Chevelle was stolen or I would still have it, and the VW is still chugging along after a rebuilt engine.
