Brand new, 1,900 miles. His last colorado was giving him problems, so he got a new one:rofl:. The colors nice, laser blue. Its a 4 cylinder, and man can you tell. One thing that struck me while driving it, was the transmission. It seemed very hesitant. When i put my foot into it once, it almost sounded like it was in neutral, until it finally caught. Just very sluggish compared to my tacoma. The power steering was also much more sensitive than my truck. You barely had to touch the wheel to get it to turn. Anyways, i only drove it 3 miles, and i certainly like my truck better. It'll be interesting fo see how the truck treats him over the years to come. Im not worried about mine breaking down! 20150829_142916.jpg 20150829_142938.jpg 20150829_143241.jpg

Wtf trim level is that? The center stack and gauges look like they are out of my '97 Blazer.

That's what I was about to post.

Really looks like the usual, cheap GM dash and controls.

I would think as it isn't a crew cab, you can get a 4 cyl 4x4 just like you can with Tacoma.

Did you notice if the rear leaf springs were perched above or below the rear axle? Never liked the springs mounted below the axle. Tacoma 4x4 has them on top as they should be.

Like you said about the transmission feeling hesitant, I used to work at a Chevy dealer as a low level lot attendant. But that was what I notice in a LOT of their new vehicles. The Sonic, the mf hideous looking spark (jalapeño green has to be the worst) and the Cruze. It almost feels like a cvt transmission but it isn't. It's a bummer it feels the same in the Colorado, I would have hoped they made it feel more like the silverados.

It was definitely hesitant. I noticed it, and I by no means am an expert on trucks. Nothing beats my truck I.M.O. Its nice knowing when I go out at night to play pool etc in winter miles from home when its below zero, I will get home safely. I have never trusted a vehicle as much as this one. Thank you Tacoma:bowdown:

It will never outsell the taco, every American car I had was problematic. I have had 5 tacomas over the last 20 years and the only problem I ever had was a u joint.... I also have a 1998 corvette that gave me problems. There is reason tacos are the best selling mid size for many years.

The only thing that I think will make a difference is the option for the zr2 if it comes out. Because diesel, I know a lot of people don't see the point, but I really do like the low end torque of my lady's tdi, and I imagine it would be similar. But for now, a lot of the people that really care to buy it is because it makes them feel more American. No offense to anyone who bought one for different reasons. :)

The Colorado looks stupid driving down the road. It looks like its jacked up. The paid the heck out of the reviewers because it reviewed as a Taco killer. It isn't even a used Ranger killer.

So that's why so many folks show up here wanting to level or lift? To look like a Colorado?

Taco killer. Of course not for the enthusiast. But may sit quite well for the average mid size truck buyer. It's cheaper with more stuff, and lots of people don't keep vehicles long enough for potential service issues to become an issue. I mean I had a '98 Sonoma that was doing well at 140k, and the frame was still intact. More than (too) many Tacos of the era.

If it really has hesitation from the tranny issues I think it kills the whole truck.
