Looks good man, how much rake did you end up with? I figured the 882's and Dakars would be pretty level...

At first it was a little more rake than I wanted but after everything settled. Perfect to me. A half inch higher at the most in the rear

Quick question: Is it alright to remove the dust shield on the rear shocks? One of mine has slipped down and I can't seem to get it back up... giggidy.

I've seen a few guys ride without them. And I'm pretty sure most don't use them on their bilstien shocks

Good to know. The drivers side shield has rubbed the paint away on the shock since I installed them and I was initially considering removing them at that time. Looks like I have a weekend project now. Thanks!

I have an extended cab 3rz with 881s on 5100s and Wheelers 5 pack in the rear. I recently installed a plate bumper and it started to sag/droop/settle under the weight of the bumper. The bumper tips the scales right at 90 pounds. I had a HF Badland 12k winch sitting in the garage and I finally got it in the bumper last night. The winch manual has it almost 90 pounds, too.

I PRELOADED the OME 881 coils on the second notch(1.25"). Initially I had some Carolina Rake, but I knew that wouldn't last because I had the LBJs off since Friday and the diff pulled working on several projects over the weekend. I pulled an all nighter last night to finish and had her back on all fours about midnight-0100. I pulled a measurement 15m ago and got good numbers. Late last night I had 25" from center cap to fender and most recently it was 23". Rear sitting at 23.25" both times.

I almost went the 2.5" notch but some research steered me away after comparing motor weights and new hardware.

Truck looks great ! I've had my 880s preloaded to 2nd notch since new about 2 years now. They have settled about 1/2 to 3/4 in. I have 6 cyl DC. I've been told not to pre load OME springs especially to 2.5 notch but some very knowledgeable guys say it's fine.I need to break down and just buy 882s but just been putting it off

It is. I ordered it from Tim early last year and got it in spring this year. I think I was the last one he did.

Some one with 883s and Dakar w/aal.. what are you mid hub to fender measurements?

Measured mine and seems high in the rear but low in the front.

    Front- 24.5"ish
    Rear- 26"

Been thinking about adding a small 1/4" spacer in the front.

Edit: also have the rack and RTT on..

Mine was really high in the rear with the AAL which is why I pulled it. However i didn't have a rtt and bedrack. Just a bumper.

OME has a 10MM spacer that works with our setup.

    Dont need either.

I run a diff drop just because it might help a little. Its benefit is highly debated but i have not had any issues with my CV's at all with the diff drop.

I still run stock UCA but with an aftermarket UCA you get your caster alignment more in spec.

One more, I swear I'm sorry! What tire size did you fit? Could I do 33s?

Youre okay man, everybody started somewhere

You can fit any size tire you want, its just how much cutting you want to do. I run a 255/85/16 and rub the front mud flaps which can be easily taken off. I also rub the front of the rear fender but not enough to do anything about it.

285/75/16 I believe you will have to do a bit more cutting.

It also comes down to what backspacing you have on your rims. Stock 1st gen rims have 4.5 BS and the rims i have are 3.5 BS which pushes the tires out a bit more for a more aggressive stance. The combination of 255 tires and 3.5 BS wheels gave me very little rub.
