I would like to put 01-04 trd flares on my 97 tacoma. I know I do not have the mounting holes needed curious if anybody has mounted these on older tacoma. How the mounted them methods used.

I've done a mod or two
Personally I would probably trace the mounting tabs from the flares on tracing paper and then tape the paper to the truck and drill, file the holes (don't forget to paint the hole to avoid rust).

I just read on a old thread that one member mounted them no problems with out the mounting tabs/holes

Me on my 98. No holes drilled, just install using the factory holes inside the fender wells.

If you want big fender flares and that are cheap.. check out jungle fender flares.. about 300 bucks for a set of 4.
