I am new to the Tacoma world and it amazes me the used prices (which just makes me buy a new one). Anyone getting good pricing? I am looking for a 2015 TRD Off Road. The lowest price at dealer right now is $31,695 with Tube Steps- that's what they have online; I haven't negotiated yet.

I checked on TruCar for what they come up with but if I do a 4x4 and add in the Off Road Package they say people have been paying ~$35,500, which is odd because the Off Road with Tube Steps around here all say MSRP of $34,404 so Tru Car is useless to me unless I'm missing something.

I am trying to grab that Off Road with Tube Steps at $31k Out the Door - pipe dream or will they be willing move quickly for that price?

There will be no clearance pricing. Every Tacoma on every lot will sell without effort. Just make sure it is an actual Off Road - there have been reprts of TRD OR stickers being applied by dealerships. Look for the e locker button. Get it while you can, 'cause the '16s are on the way.

They arent applied by the dealer.

A prerunner offroad will have elocker and not be 4x4.

A regular offroad, as we know, will be 4x4 and have elocker.

Just make sure it doesnt have the word prerunner on it.

This is the end of the month. Shop and negotiate hard and I think you can get the truck you want at the price you quoted.

The stickers can be purchased at the dealer, and could be applied by the dealer as bling - not saying they would try to sell it at OR price, just that dealers do weird shit sometimes.

That would be false advertising/knowingly ripping off people and they should suffer consequences for that:notsure:

In the last couple days I read a post from a member saying that his local dealer puts TRD OR stickers on every Tacoma on the lot. Somewhere down South.

I'm closing in on a 4x4 TRD OR DC at $32k, which is a $1k off MSRP. That's the best I've been able to find. I've had my eye on 8 4x4 DC and they have all sold in a week. In Texas at least, I don't expect to get better than a $1000 off. Unless it's a TSS, which gets a factory rebate upfront.

Supply is dwindling and demand remains. There are < 25 OR DC 4x4s in the Gulf States.

Which dealership? Just curious. Austin dealers/ employees that I've been in contact with have all be pretty disappointing. Which sucks since I'm in Georgetown.

Yes a buyer should do research. But slapping a TRD sticker onto a non trd truck to make a sale is a scam that I hope any reputable dealer would not do. Like I said in another thread, If somebody were to test drive that truck and bring it to a local news station for a false advertising story, a can of worms could be opened.

TruCar pricing is useless. The prices given are what the dealers want you to pay rather than what they are selling for. TruCar pricing is fixed.

Seems like a decent price. I was quoted a Costco price of $31,623 for TRDOR DC SB with towing and etunes plus. Tube steps are worth about $300 to $500 or so dollars.
