I don't see why you wouldn't build the ultimate in off road rig especially if you can trailer that beast everywhere. You could literally build the tow rig into a mobile repair rig and have no worries if you break the LC on trail. Just have to get it towed to the trailer.

So I'm with yah but as things get bigger they also get more expensive. And I really don't want this to be a trailer only rig. I'd like to be able to drive to the trail and then home. Still not sure but no mater what I have to cross the tranny, tcase and axle bridge which will be the same on 37s as it will be on 40s.

    Yes sir
If the LC was a trailer rig only (kinda is right now ), you'd have to jack that ram up. You know, 8" lift, 30's, stacks (duh), tow mirrors since you'd be towing, no posers here aside from that stack but that shit's hella sick. :headbang:

Can you realistically drive a LC on 40s across the country?

No fucking way! I'd probably trailer out the 40s and roll on some 35s to go x country!!!

I don't think you should get a trailer. If you need the transmission gone through, just pull it out and haul it to a shop, go over any problematic areas of the engine, regear and rebuild the axles, chromo front and rear shafts, tcase gears etc. etc. All that money for a trailer can be used for upgrades. I am considering selling my trailer next year to help fund a 3rz swap. I won't really care to trailer glamrunner if I can have enough power to get up a 2% grade without downshifting. That's just my 2 poops

I'm going to build the truck and then get a trailer. All my loose money is headed towards a trans and tcase gears right now then I'll get into the axles. Either way she will be drive able up and down the east coast.
