I'm curious what issues you guys are having with the 6" Rough Country Lift, and what it is that makes the BDS lift so much better? I haven't seen any specifics yet.

I do not have a rough country lift but I installed one for my buddy. The only issue I had was that I needed to grind the front knuckle so the caliper would bolt up. I'm sure that is a small flaw in production quality control,so I wouldn't say it's junk because of that. The big blocks in the rear aren't really a good design either especially on weak Tacoma leaf springs. Overall consider its price point compared to pro comp,BDS,and fabtech, you get what you pay for.

Lol I did keep it, and hate myself for still having it. The blocks ruined my leaf springs , amd definitely plan on selling it next year.

    Yes sir
Yea that sucks man, the blocks are one of the main reasons guys seem to dislike the RC lift. Especially if it wrecked you leafs... Good luck with the rig man!

Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
It is a damn good looking truck though, re-do the rear w/ bigger leaf pack and smaller blocks? how is the front end holding up?

What 6" lift do you have? I've got a Procomp 6" drop bracket and almost everybody on the forum says that it won't perform well offloading. Judging by this picture it looks like your truck is doing just fine. Could you give me a little info on your setup?

When this picture was taken I had a Pro Comp stage 2 kit. Since then I've changed it up a bit. I've gone with total chaos LCAs, ICON billet UCAs, and ICON extended coil overs and am in the process of adding 12" rear coil overs.

Anyway, I had no issues wheeling all around Moab (I live in Utah). I have a full set of armor that helps as well. Don't listen to the haters. They usually don't have direct knowledge of the real differences in lifts (not including LT, SAS).

Thanks for the info. I've also got the procomp stage 2 6". So many DB haters on tacomaworld, but you're doing a great job proving them wrong.

Any way you could give me a link to where you got your front skid plate from?

I had them custom made (IFS and mid) by a friend. I have a Pelfreybilt transfer case skid.

I also had a skid made to cover the DB strut bars.
