Super easy, we had it hooked up to test in like 5 minutes, but then 3 of the wires were loose on the plug and we said heff it and called it a day.

No leaking from the 3rd member? Also I cant imagine how air would have made its way through the brake lines to the front seeing as only the rear lines were disconnected; but it couldn't hurt to bleed the front bakes too. Just for shits and giggles.

How many hours total for the swap?

I always recommend bleeding the lines anytime you take them off

Yeah I don't know how that happened hopefully we can fix it and we don't have to decide who pays for a replacement. ..although I'm sure that would have been me lol
Thanks Warren, do you know that this will work? I will buy the tool if someone doesn't already have it
Do we know this is the solution?
Yeah we were crunched for time.

I actually haven't checked like I should have when I went home. I will check later, it's parked all week. I don't think anything is wrong with the fronts, just the rears but it could have been a few things. They could be misaligned, could be just extra worn and I'm not used to it, etc. Either way it's not a bad time to replace them considering they're worn unevenly. Perhaps that's it. But I AM replacing the rotors and pads soon, I have the parts in the garage. I don't know how to bleed lines but that might be a good time to do them?

Thats defintely the solution, the rest of the harness looked good, we could re-crimp those connectors and solder them to make them nice and tight.

Did you not bleed the brakes when you swapped the rear axle? that's a pretty big issue

@Overkill07 which of those tools do I need? Also you and @Tacodriver08, do you remember if we had the lighting wires on that harness? It's not with me at school

Yep it had the lighting wires, the switch lit up like it should.

Yep we bled the rear brakes but not the front brakes, shouldn't be a need for the front brakes from what I can tell.

Doesn't the rear brakes self adjust? Or do you have to adjust them

We had to ad just them just a little bit to get us going but after that they self-adjust.

From what Chris tells me. They self adjust over time. But since you have to tweak them I could see them being misaligned so maybe I should readjust them? Not sure what to go by though

Lol then it might not the job for you to do.

Also Google Tacoma rear brake adjust. I think you hit the ebrake and throw it in reverse? Forgot

I think he's just saying that if you don't know what you're doing then you might not want to do it yourself or by yourself, being a critical part to stop your 4000lb cruise missile flying down the hwy. :D

It's actually very easy and I will be willing to help you when you're ready.

I'll be damned if I didn't tweak them right lol

Sounds crazy but yep throwing the ebrake on while in reverse is the way to do it.

x2! Just need a flashlight and some tiny pliers and you could do it in the BWW parking lot after a meet
