Whats the trick here? Is it easier to unbolt everything or try and be a badass and cut it out all together? I put my truck up on stands last night. Ill make a build thread shortly. Just wanted to know some of the techniques used. Thanks.

If you have access to a plasma cutter, that will make life easy.

Yeah I've got a plasma. I think I've come up with a way. I will take plenty of pics for future reference

Cut the frame off in front of where it bends in and up. Make sure the engines supported and unbolted first.

Like slander said, cut it off and start fresh. I'll never do it the "old" way again

That would work, but I'm using leafs not links. I think I have a pretty good method of attacking it. It will be one night this week

It works with leafs as well! This is what I'm planning on doing. It takes less time to build a front frame then to cut and grind all that bull crap off, and then weld reinforcement plates on. Plus you can run the front end lower by not having to deal with the stock front frame horns, and can build your front spring or shackle hangars into the front cross-member, not needing to buy a pre made one.

Unbolt anything you plan to sell, after that have the truck lifted up on stands/ car lift and start cutting and watch the parts fall.

Did this using a cutoff & sawzall

Yeah you're right. I'm too close to go get metal. I'm just going to let the plasma eat. I have some buddies that will grind for beer

SAS,1985 FJ60 flipped axle, 35" KO2,5" AllPro leafpacks front and rear,

That is the way I wish I had done it. See this post #39 here in my long thread
    http://www.yotatech.com/f152/2001-t...onsiderations-283930/index2.html#post52235838

Right after I torched off all the front bracketry, I took a closer look and it seemed so much neater to just cut where you did on the frame and let the whole thing come out as 1 big piece of crap. :)

Hope the SAS suppliers read that.
