Anyone with experience regarding suspension products knows that shocks are tunable. Adjusting compression and rebound shim stacks in the main unit can make the shocks more firm or softer. They can also adjust bottom out resistance making the shock feel more progressive as it compresses.

I destroyed a guy who ran a stop sign. His insurance tried to tell USAA that a kid was walking into a crosswalk and that I was in the wrong because the guy had the right of way when the kid stepped into the crosswalk. USAA said no and fixed my car. A year after the accident, one of my struts leaked out and started bouncing. We called USAA and they told us they dropped the collision shop that did the original work because of issues like this. They sent me to a place that straitened the unibody again and replaced the strut and some foam in the bumper that wasn't repaired. They are a great company and no one can beat the prices they give us. My mom lets everyone try. Costco can't beat it for us

I wish that I could get USAA. Unfortunately I hear that you have to have a family member who is in the military.

Some idiot in a Suburban passed me in a right-turn-only lane. I thought he was turning right (silly me). Just before the intersection he inched back into my lane while we were basically neck-and-neck. I honked, slammed on the brakes, and subsequently only suffered a minor cosmetic damage when his rear bumper and my front left quarter panel collided. He told his insurance company I sped up as he was changing lanes, which is the opposite of the truth, and they took his word for it. They never even bothered to call me. I ended up calling them a month after the fact and they had already closed the claim as my fault.

He has USAA, so I didn't see a dime. Luckily it didn't raise my rates because my insurance (Progressive) found him 100% at fault. USAA can go to hell if they save all their money simply by not paying out valid claims.
