Nope. There is a seal that sits inside the diff. No rubber gasket on the CVs or in between the mounting face

I drove about 50 miles at 65 mph home when I messed up my axle and all that happened was the edges of the splines on the shaft got a little beat up but I still got the tulip back on. I just wouldn't drive it insanely a lot and you should be fine!

Alright so I've been wanting to add a little more lift to my truck. I currently have a 3in bilstein lift kit, and I was thinking on adding on another 2in using spacers. Would I be able to do that? Would I have to replace some other things? Id appriciate any answers!

No, you will be over extending the ifs. Probably end up blowing cvs, ball joints etc just driving down the road. You could add a body lift, but that is a whole other discussion. Fwiw, I'm clearing 33's on what is likely less than 3" lift. If you are going for practical, stick with 3" suspension lifts. If you just want the look, maybe you should check out a drop bracket lift or additional body lift.

Yeah I'm running the 255/85/16's right now and they clear just fine, I just wanted a little bigger look to my truck and thought the spacers would be a good way to go, I've been looking and the day star body lift. Any recommendations for a drop bracket or body lift?

You probably won't find a lot of body lift and drop bracket fans, but I have heard the 4crawler body lifts are some of the best. I don't know anything about drop brackets other than that they are expensive and require cutting a crossmember from all the ones I've seen. I think procomp and maybe someone else makes a drop bracket lift.

Check out fiolios build, his truck looks great, pretty sure it has a db lift.

Oh, and the old relentless fab build had a 3" suspension lift on top of a 2 or 3 inch body lift.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
If you are looking to acquire "mall crawler" or "street queen" status, you might be on the wrong forum. If you are looking for functionality, 3" suspension lift and 1" body lift is pretty much the agreed upon limit here on TW.

But I know everyone is different so Ill entertain your question. If you have a 2wd truck, spacers will give you lift. Its not advisable but it'll work. Just stay on the pavement.

If you have a 4x4, the only way to net > 3" lift is additional body lift or with a drop bracket lift. Again, its advisable to stay on the pavement with this one too.

I wouldn't say she's a pavement princess, but my wheeling is a lot less severe than most of the people on this forum, and I do like the truck to look good. I appriciate it man
