I don't remember tweaking the new axle? I also read that it could take up to what, 20 e brake stops or so to adjust them?

Also, do I need the multi tool kit or do we just need pliers?

Why not master fu?

 

The amount of work to get that thing wired up to our trucks, is not worth it. Our harness is not the same as the newer trucks.
For the price. You can buy an aftermarket hu that has better quality than a stock hu.


Why do people replace stock Hu for a newer stock hu. I think it's stupid idea. A stock Hu puts out 5 watts. If that to each speaker. Aftermarket Hu usually does 20 to 30 watts or so to each speaker.

You would be surprised out how much better your stock speakers will sound with an aftermarket HU upgrade. Dennis is right, the factory stero just doesn't put out enough power to push those speakers. Now you will have to be carflefku ad you can blow those factories as I believe they are only rated for 15-20 watts. I can double check that tonight when I get home.

Thats what I was doing when I was spinng the brake drums over and over, adjusting the star wheel inside to get the pads right against the drum itself.

There is a plug and play harness but yes for the price I agree there are better ones... like Juan said, it's oem. Looks awesome compared to others

You must have done that when I was working on the other axle, or had walked away to do something else. Maybe I do remember now...

Regardless, I didn't think adjusting them to fit the drum over them was adjusting them to brake properly?

Maybe it would help if the radio was on in your second picture.

I love my aftermarket touchscreen radio. I've got over 1000 songs loaded onto it, I have the ability to hook up multiple cameras to display on the screen, I can watch DVDs and the gps maps on it works really good and that allows me to save my cell data.
