What size tires will fit my truck?

    Hi Gang,

    I have an 04 4DR TRD V6 that has 265 70R 16's on it. It is 100% stock.

    I am going to need new tires in the not too distant future.

    I would like to go with BF Goodrich AT's.

    I have been looking on Craigslist and I NEVER see this size for sale.

    Are there other sizes that will fit my truck with zero rubbing?

    That is the largest tire you can run on a stock 2004 Taco TRD without rubbing...
    I am running 265/70/17 as I am using the very common 2nd gen 17" alloy's, very slight rubbing at full lock, but with 3/4" Bora hubcentric spacers spacers, perfect...

    In general, these trucks can run 32" tall tires on stock alloy wheels without rubbing. However, so many factors come into play when you are asking the question, "will they rub?"

    For example, how old are your coil springs in front? Have they lost any of their lifting ability? And how you use your truck is a factor. If the only flexing the truck sees is from speed bumps and your front end isn't starting to sag a bit, then 32s may be fine. However, if you use the truck off road, you may quickly find that you get unexpected rubbing.

    as they stated, if you're stock and the truck is a street queen, the 265/75-16 will work fine. you will hear a little rub when turning fully to one side or occasionally when backing up if you hit bumps/dips

    also the BF Goodrich are just "ok" tires anymore. too expensive for not as good tread-wear/tread-pattern :(

    Yup it is. I'm running the daystar 2.5 inch leveling kit. went in nice and truck runs great! the bigger tires make everything better also
