I'm running Dakars with 3 deg shims on the back of my truck with Nitro originals. Both Dakar packs were rated as (+) but the pass side is an inch or so higher. I do have the packer on the front driver side to help eliminate driver side lean but the back is way off.

Is there a good option for levelling the rear? Thought about removing upper overload on the pass side but I don't want mismatched leaf packs. Not too keen on a driver side spacer either but is that the best approach? If so, I'm probably gonna say screw it and put up with it.

Thanks. I'll grab a couple of those if it continues to bother me. Not too eager to pull all of it apart again. Maybe I'll just the 300 lbs in the back rear corner of my bed.

Has the jury changed on needing extended brake lines with the dakars? I have been digging around the forum and see some folks saying that they are required and others that are saying the opposite.

What I got from that video was the point was trying to get the drivelling angles as close to 0 degrees as possible. This puts the components in a straight line which reduces vibration and wear.

Have not checked mine yet but I'm not noticing an annoying vibration either.

I realize the answers are probably somewhere within these 400 pages.. but.... well......

Does anybody want to share hub-fender measurements using 884's on a DCSB 4x4? No armor up front. Gracias.

    My 883's gave me 1 1/4". Looking for a strong 2".

Are the yellow old man emu bushings junk? Thought I read where the stock bushings worked better?

Anybody running 886s with a small top plate spacer with steel bumper and winch with dakars? I got 885s with top plate and got like 2.5" with bumper and winch. Wondering if I switch to 886s would I need a top plate spacer to get 3" of lift? Want my truck with just a tiny rake almost level.

You would probably need a spacer. I have 886s (no spacers) with an aluminum bumper and winch (~135lbs) and have maybe 2.75" lift. Also have full skids and a big battery too.

Okay. I have about 220lbs up front total. Without skids and I'm getting low. By the way I love your rig man!

So I visited my local customs shop today for my OME install checkup. They determined my squeaking on the front end was coming from the LR UCA bushings. They squirted them with what they called "RGS" (aka Really Good Stuff) and the squeaking is gone. Seems this would likely be a temporary fix at most though. They assured me the stuff was safe for the poly bushings though.

Did they use the supplied grease when they installed the LR UCAs ?

So I've ordered the lift kit, UCAs (total chaos) and bumper (ARB) ....I am trying to decide what to do for tires...My question is that if I get a 16 x 8 wheel, could I run both a 285 + 265...I was thinking of maybe going with 265s for snow tires since I live in Breckenridge....I was told they will grip better in snow than a 285. Is this correct?

Any recommendations on a tire that does well in snow is appreciated too!
