To start off, I have a '14 RC 4wd. Suspension is stock at this point and I recently installed 255/75r17 BFG KMs on FJ Cruiser alloys. Truck looks good and to my surprise, it doesn't rub a bit, even flexed (no mud flaps). I was expecting to have to at least level immediately but now I have more time to consider my options. So:

Option 1: I have new 3/4" spacers from Toytec. Bought these right after I got the truck before doing research and they're still in the box on my shelf.

Option 2: Bilsteins set at .85".

Option 3: Bilsteins set at 0" with Eibach springs (advertised as 1.6" lift).

Option 4: OME 884s, no top spacers. 1" rear block.

I want to maintain a little rake, approximately 1" and look for the best on road ride. I worry about getting more than the advertised lift since my truck is lighter than typical Tacomas. Also, not really wanting to mess with the rear or do a large lift but if it's the best route, I'll consider it.

Option 4 with Icon progressive AAL in the rear. Stay away from blocks and spacers.

I've had bad luck with AALs in the past but Ive never used a progressive set. I'd rather avoid lifting the back at all, that's why I'm not set on #4. And of course, it's the most expensive.

You get what you pay for. That is definitely the best option. Progressive AALs are way less likely to flatten out quickly.

Yeah, that's true too. The money isn't a big deal but I'm also worried about the 884s on a regular cab being too tall and/or stiff. Any input on that?

Okay guys, just a quick update. I installed the spacers I already had because, well, it was free. I'm actually very happy so far with it. They were 1/2" spacers and provided roughly 1" of lift. Ride and drive seem great, going to have the alignment checked tomorrow. Only took a couple of hours going slow. Here's a crappy Ipic but it's better than nothing I guess.
