Hey fellas, new to the forum and new to the truck world. We just purchased a black 2015 DCSB TRD Sport last week. We’re looking to do a 3” lift. We will be off-roading occasionally, so I’m looking for a moderate lift…nothing cheap and nothing crazy expensive. I’m also looking to see if anyone would be willing to help me with an install? I’m mechanically inclined but definitely eager to learn. I can provide plenty of beer along with throwing plenty of meat on the smoker. I’m located out in Aubrey (9 miles east of Denton since no one ever knows where Aubrey is)

5100 and OME springs. Aal for the rear.

Drive down to houston for a day. I'll put that beer to good use while lifting your truck

Skip the 5100 shocks and just do the full OME lift with the Dakar leaf springs. Spend a little bit more but still very reasonable in price.
This way no worries of snapped shock shafts, and the weak factory leafs get replaced with a very worthwhile mod.
Check out TRDparts4u to buy it all. Should be right around $1000 for everything you need and the people there are great to deal with. Plus no shipping cost since they are local.

Meant to mention I will be throwing on an aftermarket bumper and we plan to throw some heavy loads in the back on occasion (building supplies). Does that change anything?

I would consider the 887 front springs and the Dakar leafs are great for loads.

That set up seems to be the go-to lift on here. Question-what's the benefit to having an adjustable set up like the toytec boss/ultimate? So far I've been eyeing what you just posted along with the boss or ultimate (I honestly don't know the specific differences between those two are) with Darkars.

What is the spring rate of the eibach vs the OME's? I'm having a hard time finding that information. I'm starting to really lean in the OME direction. This is my first truck, and my first lift, but I can't really imagine a situation in which I would need to adjust the height.

Ok...so just to verify, you said 886s are good for a plate bumper, and Tex said 887s, then you said 887s are longer to compensate for the bumper...so which one should be used? I'm assuming 887?

BTW thanks for all the info, it has really helped...I spend a couple hours on here a day probably, so I'm slowly learning.

Just read this on Headstrong's site. Seems as if I should do 887 if I want to keep the full 3" while still having a front bumper?

NOTE: Select the coils provided below. The 884 coils work well with single and extended cab models, the 885's works well with double cab models and the 886 coils work best with heavy front end weight (plate bumpers or combination plate bumpers and winch). The 887 coils were added to our drop downs for those looking to achieve 3" of lift (double cab 4x4). Call for more details and to help with the right coil selection.

OME is designed to give 2.5 of front lift and 2.5-2.75 rear. 884 gives about 2 inch front with a like stock ride with no armor. 885 gives about 2.5 with a firmer ride with no armor. 886 gives 2.5-3 with a firmer ride if you have 200lbs worth or armor (bumper w/ winch) or 3 with a stiff ride no armor. 887 gives 3 with firm ride with no armor. Individual results will vary based on current sag and parts variance. If your going full 3 seriously consider UCAS for road manners and articulation. I'm down to help you install and located just south of Denton and have required tools. I also have some bnib 885x springs for sale.

I had the 886 springs with a CBI bumper and winch. They were still a little stiff. It looked great but it had no down travel.
Since the 887 are a little softer it should help with getting some down travel.
With a coilover kit like the Boss you can crank on the coilover to raise or lower the ride hight. If I had it to do over again I would have done coilovers the first time. Not knocking the OME stuff for the front but I had to change mine a few times as the truck changed.

Sure did, got the full OME kit from Headstrong with 887's. Ride is great. The front feels just like the stock suspension on the sport, and the rear is a little stiffer with Dakar's, but I like it like that. Very, very happy.

    exactly, I am in Prosper...

Truck looks good. Any reason why you didn't splurge for coilovers?

I haven't searched it. I thought it was a non coilover lift.
