You got sliders and a 1st Gen. You should not have an issue.

    RED CONE TRIP Sunday 9/6/15

Meeting Place: Tipsy's Liquor Store Parking - C470 and Bowles
Meeting Time: 8:00am to 8:30am. Leaving promptly at 8:30am (Yes it's early and no it is not changing)

I am gonna limit this run to 8 rigs for the purpose of time and because you cannot even fit 8 trucks at the top of Red Cone. If there is a lot of interested parties that want to go and we have another experienced trail guide we can consider splitting the run into 2 groups with staggered start times. Stock rigs can get up this trail however I will say that body damage is possible in the lower section of the trail and armor is highly recommended. Locker not needed but it makes things easy. :D

The plan is just to run Red Cone and head down to Keystone. Go over Loveland pass and then probably go back over to 285 via Guanella Pass. IF time permits we might explore the Argentine Basin area or save that for another trip.

I wouldn't use regular duct tape.

Gaffer's tape is stronger and won't leave a residue.

You guys should do some of the other keystone area trails while there, Santa Fe was cool, but I would recommend adding Chihuahua for sure, not super long and a fun little trail.

do we come down on the peru creek trail side where chihuahua gulch starts? Depending on time i might have to dip just after red cone and start heading back to denver.

exploring Peru creek years ago was fun, i didn't end up going up chihuahua though, one trail i would also like to explore, that same weekend we went up to a mine site on keystone property both peru creek and keystone is not really what i consider wheeling anymore but great mountains to explore and amazing sites!

Peru is just a dirt road, chihihua is a trail, a fun one, with rocks, and mud, and water, and trees, and bushes.
