What you guys keep forgetting is it is a world economy that is ran on the dollar not just the US....
So you can believe the dollar is great but the rest of the world is changing their mind and going away from the dollar....
So the dollar can fall even if every American loves it, because it's a world economy.....

And the world places more value on PMs then fiat money......

Why is a treasure ship a treasure ship??????

Is the rest of the world going away from the dollar? If you are going to mention the Euro or China don't bother.. If you are going a different direction I'm interested to hear what you have to say.

It's like watching a movie every day, Russia is really pushing the US this last week but China is directly attacking the dollar....

I don't think we will mess with Putin because he plays hard ball, but Syria will be interesting, will the US let Russian bomb the "freedom fighters" we have been arming or do we abandon Syria and call it a day....

Physical silver just went up, eagles are up 1 dollar 21.40, maples 21.65, kookaburras up 2 dollars 24.25

Spot is 14.83 but you must pay 21.4 to get physical silver $6.57 a 44% premium ...

That is the difference between the digital "fake price" and the real price...

If you bought silver ETFs you would be down, if you bought premium coins you would all ready be up.........

It's still too early to buy mining stocks, I know I'm getting killed on the ones I held, they are being put out of business, I figured it out to late...

So the best PMs buy now is physical until the market bottoms, then go to miners.... Take caution or avoid SLV or GLD......

Where do you get your silver from? JM Bullion has about the lowest premium over spot I have seen. Currently about 4.89 over spot.

I buy either locally or through APMEX...... There are smaller guys I should support but I get my silver in a few days, they have good selection and never have a problem, so no reason to shop.....

90% silver I buy on ebay.... so far good results.....

What we do is go to apmex on sunday nights when they crash the market and look for the best deals.... For a while you could get killer deals but they must have fix their system..

Sometimes you can get premium silver for the same or less than eagles...

Now they are selling Somali elephants for 19.99 and they are low production silver... Older Somalis are going for $90 and I can get them cheaper than an eagle..

I will switch back to kookaburras for 2016 when they first come out they are close to the same price as eagles but they go up after 6 months, double in a few years and come with a capsule..

My goal is to flip my old ones when I can net 2 oz new silver for 1 old one, so I can start to double my stack.... Some of the rare ones I'll hold to see what happens....

So my eagles and maples are for protection and my premium silver I'll try to flip if the opportunity arises....

Okay I'm all for a good story to buy PMs as a hedge or to diversify or to reduce volatility but to say that you're buying it cause the world is moving away from the U.S. dollar is ridiculous and fear monger inn. You're posting your facts on biased blogs and websites designed to sell silver to those watching am infomercial at 2a. China is wearing their currency as they are net exporters not importers. Where does anyone get the idea that China wants to stop selling their goods globally?!?

And seriously is this a PM thread or a prepper thread? Precious metals as an investment makes sense to some if not all as an investment. Not a safe place to hide when the world ends.

And FYI. You will always pay over spot for silver the same way I can't buy a barrel of oil to hold until it hits $80 again. For me to buy a 55 gallon drum, fill it with oil. Pay some to deliver it. Then store it. Find a way to refine it leather on etc. even when you buy silver it has to be delivered to you. You then have to store it securely. Then you have to make and effort to exchange / trade it.

PS the world is not ending. And if it is you're going to need a bigger truck than a Tacoma. Just saying...

I don't think the world will, end just the current dollar, just like in 1973 the world didn't end we just had crazy inflation.....and now that dollar has been printed to death and the whole world knows it....

Countries already stopped using the dollar and may more are making moves to trade with out the dollar....

No one knows what will happen because this has never happened before, but it's not good....

PMs and the dollar go hand and hand.... They are arch rivals.... Bakers and governments hate gold because it limits their spending....

During the gold standard more wealth was created for the middle class than any time in history......

But even if the dollar last another 100 years, silver is still in short supply and the price is being fixed... So even if you don't think silver is the real money the Fed and all the bankers know different.... It wouldn't be worth their time to mess with it.....

So the bottom line for silver is, when will the physical demand break the digital shorts???? no one knows but we know it's coming and when it finally hits it will be huge, a once in a lifetime investment, the dollar aside..... The dollar reevaluation is an added bonus for silver investors....

Trying to teach these goofs about the falling dollar is like trying to explain fire to a horse....

I Know the barn is nice, I like it to, but it's on fire, we have to leave the barn, put out the fire and rebuild it.....

First chance they get the run right back into the barn, Idiots........

By the way this is the PMs thread...... This is what we talk about............. Money......

in 1973 a silver quarter bought you a gallon of gas....
Today it will buy you 2-4 gallons of gas.....

Today your federal reserve quarter won't buy sh**.........

    90% silver isn't junk.........

Why would China dump dollars? Their holding of dollars is propping up the economy, and a strong dollar makes things easier to export, and a weak currency aids in importing raw materials...
