If I had the stock bumper on I'm sure they wouldn't fit

Crazy. Looks like they would rub bad either way. At least on the pinch weld... I beat the crap outta mine and I still rub when turning sometimes. And always rub in reverse. People stare when I back out of a parking spot. Annoying. Nuttin I can do bout it till the new lift. Maybe I'll just take the wheel off and use one of those huge sledges on it. Lol. It feels so wrong doing that though. I cringed every hit when I did it the first time. Anyways I'm really hoping the new "proper" lift will take care of this. Although I do plan on getting some bolt on spacers too for the wheels and I think the added ~inch will be even more of an issue and make it turn into the pinch weld even more. Idk. Just trying to think of all this in the meantime while I wait for funds to finally go through with it.

Oh and I was thinking maybe they don't rub as bad with the proper backspacing. Looks like yours are tucked in pretty good so I'm assuming it clears the pinch weld but rubs on frame? I could deal with that more so than the pinch weld rubbing. That way you could still turn good but just no lock it so it doesn't rub.. But that means getting new rims too and I don't wanna do that.

That's the funny thing....it barely rubs the frame on the passenger side....that pic is at full flex as the drivers side front wheel is in a mudhole with no bottom.lol

Well, I think the thing with that is most guys get the lift prior to getting the tires. Don't think many have slapped 33's on all stock with no lift. I'm sure there's some changes in articulation and whatnot with the lift, even if minimal, it's just enough to rub. that'd be my guess anyways. I'm also assuming you have a stock-ish shock setup? Probly not as much travel as most would like otherwise you'd probly be rubbing the wheel well or flare when flexing. Idk. in either case, I think your specific setup/situation doesn't help us who are wanting the lift and be able to retain full articulation/flex/no rub solution. Ha. I wish though. Everyone's setup is gonna be a bit different and have slightly different outcomes. Including me so I think I'm just gonna have to wait and see what happens.

Edit: in my case, I've got 33x12.5's on 15x10's. Not sure on my backspacing but it's had the 1/4" spacer to clear the calipers since I bought her. It was rubbing the coil so I installed camburg uca's to fix that. That was my first suspension investment as I knew I'd be needing them regardless. So I'm sure that with my wheels and the uca's the wheel is pushed out more and that is what's causing my rubbing. If they were pushed in more it'd probly clear. But again I don't wanna get different rims. Thus why I asked earlier if I'm gonna need a top spacer for a tad more lift so I don't rub.

You are correct. My suspension is bone stock....I've always put the tire that I want on and build around that.but I am going with a spacer and block lift in the next few days.will have 35's on it in a couple of weeks.

Nice! Well I think you're gonna end up with a situation like mine where I was clunking on the coils. Maybe you'll get lucky again and not have that issue! Ha. Otherwise you might find you need some uca's. They make light racing ones at a decent price I think. But if you can get away without, Then that works. I feel I am gonna spend too much for a suspension kit/lift I may never get to use to its full extent. Because at this time I feel it's gonna take years to get it to where i want to take me places for vacations/camping.. Rather than be an occasional "limited" offroader as it is now;) But I guess it'll increase the value if anything.

So, back on topic.. Spacer lifts are fine if that's all you need imo. But keep in mind it'll wear out your other suspension a bit faster. especially if you see heavy offroading. I see it as a temporary lift. Or at least for mall crawlers. I enjoy my lift as is. But am tiring of it and want to see it's full potential. And I'm tired of the butt puckering over every little pothole too!!:D I am pretty limited as to what and where I can do/go with it. Plus being a prerunner doesn't help. But I've heard that nicely built prerunners can go places almost as good as any other. But a nice "proper" lift is gonna be what it takes to get that started I think.

You will rub more with a "proper lift". Spacers move the bottom out point down the same amount as lift (close to it anyways) so with a proper lift youl be tucking that tire up even more when flexing. I tell people to trim to fit tires on no lift (they will) and you wont have any problems.
