@DoorDing How is your magnetic solution holding up? I have yet to secure the back flap since I put it on... I've just been leaving it rolled up.

Great build man! Don't quite have the cash for that much work right now but hope to be able to build something like that at some point. Also need to keep the balance between some off-roading and a daily driver that doesn't cost a fortune to fill up.

Thats exactly what I'm thinking I believe tires are the core to any good vehicle. Also gotta feel out the 4banger first don't want to stress it out while it has the new vehicle smell just yet.

Here a few pics of the Softopper after reinstall after new brackets...

Also... you can tweak the height a bit with how you adjust the straps as you are fastening the snaps....

I got it in a position I'm really happy about.

    IMG_4661.jpg
    IMG_4663.jpg

sits just below the cab top but still covers the brake light.

Next step: a couple 2-3" rise bed bars with RTT under the softopper.... excited!

Sorry to blow up this thread, but anyone have any quality bed bars they recommend that may even use the stock bed tie downs I have been looking for a week now and can't find any that look solid.

I'm leaning toward the 3" bed bars by Relentless Fabrication... It seems a lot of people on here like/use them.

Oh wow, 35 lbs, that is a big advantage! And they look awesome, that is for sure. I assume they are just like a good tonneau in that they work great in the winter for shedding the snow?

your truck look awesome. I have Magnetic gray and ordered the black one. It looks like Softopper sent me wrong brackets as well. Can you please take a picture of them? The ones I got look like your first pic.

    Thank you

Sorry for the delay; been semi- off the grid for the weekend.

Here is a picture of the brackets side-by-side. Bob at Softopper said a few tops got shipped out with the wrong brackets, so you may have.

the new ones are around 5/8" longer.

Anyones thoughts on the cover for it when its folded up. I know its always good to protect things like this from the sun but wondering if the bag is worth it?

Unless you have another way of keeping it nicely covered or will leave it up 99% of the time, getting the cover is a must. I think most will agree.
