Yup. I got it line-x after some jerk in a parking lot gave me a love tap on the driver rear quarter panel. Instead of re-painting I just decided to modify it a bit and Line-x the whole thing. I add two NFab light bars, the Pro grill, and an All Pro high clearance rear bumper. Looks bad ass in person.

Also added bush wacker flares, new wheels and tires, blacked out taillight, and oem gray front skid plate.dbd181cfaef933623acc3e8d99465954_28b700fa3d15c0be886aa895f5fc5d9051a8aa64.jpg

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
What did the linex job cost?

I tried to get my 2008 linex'd but the linex dealer said they couldn't do it. Qouted me 4500 bucks, but then said they couldn't make it stick properly to the flares.

    No mods whatsoever!
Maaco is painting a lot of Jeeps here with Line-X. Not sure what the cost is, but they have a few colors available (orange, blue, green, and black) that I have seen so far. They just did my buddies boat. I think it was about $200 per kit and it took a few kits.

$4k - $5k is about right. They were able to get in on the flares and the grill with no issues. They didn't want to do the mirror caps since they had trouble with those in the past. Also no decals or emblems will stick to this. I tried haha

They told me 150-180lbs. If they applied it like a normal bedliner it would be close to 300lbs! I tried pushing in a quarter panel and there is no give. It's solid.

@tyfoon11 yeah who knows what is in the mix. Doors do feel a lot heavier and the cab is a little more quiet so I'm guessing it helps with sound deadening. Also on a side note... beware when you order tire and wheel combo from Tire Rack. I drove two blocks when I installed them and I felt like I was riding on ice. Tires were inflated to 80 PSI!!! WTF

They probably over inflated them setting the bead.

The valve core gets taken out and they inflate it fast in order to pop the bead on, the probably just throw them together and the slap the valve core in as fast as the can... onto the next tire.

I doubt there are any fucks given at all for what pressure is in the tire.

Here are a few shots of the truck in the shade and a look at the rear bumper. 9f4bac27ddd7e95b708eed6ff3652730_7c1f217e1bf3d28f45edc75972c6481219232491.jpg4b4c292f86fa1ad9107ed10a2fb7c70b_63193cb8df9a07673f11ec8007f7298520e60480.jpg3ce37f0644b0956d45d14d2d1638f0e0_f3d25d3e995c4665a1cb898d46076b6c4bc84d67.jpg5886025b35be9699130d0af0f5416402_8241dacece437e4ea17b7203b6aa6ebef0cdb3a5.jpg

Looks good! Your truck would match the 83 I am restoring right now. Its likely going to be 100 percent lined. Still might do a top half paint job though.

@konvictKROG Nice. I want to see that 83 when its done. My dream is restore a 85 as a copy of the Back to the Future truck. It's the reason I love black Tacos.

    Haha I definitely will.

Its more of a budget restomod for this one. I want a mild wheeler, that will last forever. Taking it to the metal patching what is necessary and doing some sort of concoction for painting that will last forever.
Its not going to be concourse style restoration. I have a 79 in storage thats been in storage for 20 years.. its cherry. And I have an 85 that is very nice.

Anyway eventually I will have one of each generation and body style 79-95, and one of each generation that is modified.

I always wanted the back to the future truck, but the only extra cab I have now is an 86 turbo and its rusted to hell. It was to be a donor truck for my 85 for the drivetrain. . Just never have the time!
