    Anyone have issues with the retrofits interfering with the radio? I just installed them and when they are on, my radio signal turns to crap, and when I turn them off, it instantly becomes clear. Hoping the EMI filters will work that TRS offers. just wondering if anyone has had this issue.

    I've only noticed this where I have a questionable signal to begin with, then the lights will kill it off. If I have a good radio signal it doesn't seem to make a difference lights on or off.

    I would check to see that you have a good ground. I used one of the studs under the battery where the orange ABS sensor is mounted. Make sure it is sanded clean. Otherwise not sure. I haven't noticed the problem.

    Thanks for the replies, Im using both grounds that was recommended in the write up and they where clean and corrosion free, I figure when the ferrite cores from trs come in I will check on the grounds just to make sure. I have great signal here and literally like a light switch (pun intended) I turn them on and the radio turns to a whole lot of static. Turn them off and the radio comes in great again. I should take a video, but I haven't heard anyone else have a severe problem.

    Happens to me also, I just stopped using the radio and started using my phone and bluetooth for music so it hasn't been a high priority.

    Noise can be caused by having multiple grounds in a system. It's called a ground loop. Maybe that is something you could check although I imagine it is hard to avoid in a vehicle where almost every component relies on a return to the battery via the frame. I'm kinda rusty on my physics so maybe I should look into this more.

    Is it possible to buy a mini d2s kit without the HID's?

    Well they're HID's are made specifically for the kits. I don't know if any old generic kit will work with it. @TRSAndrew would have to clarify

    Unless its a kit with D2 style bulb base you are correct. Maybe he thinks these HIDs are like the not so great plug and play ones.

    That's what I was going with, some people already have HIDs and think its just a plug and play

    Okay guys, I need some help.

    Recently I replaced my D2S retros with switchback halos because my original halos were burning out. The only thing that I replaced were the halos in my setup. When I put the headlights back in, the voltage regulator that came with it burned up on the passenger side. I thought that maybe I just had a bad voltage regulator. TRS sent another one and the same thing happened. Maybe I just had bad luck. So I got another one and this time I switched the driver side voltage regulator with the passenger one (The one I had no issues with) to see if it was a side specific issue. Well that one burned up also.

    I have my halos wired so they come on with the parking lights.

    When this happens I blow out a 10a fuse for the taillights so basically the first click on my headlights (which turns on the parking lights) will not do anything.

    I also noticed that it seems to happen when I have my headlights on.

    Does anybody have any idea on what im doing wrong? The driver side headlight is wired the exact same way and I have no issues with it.

    Please help with any ideas as they would be much appreciated.

    @TRSAndrew
