Someone said eariler that the new Tacoma looks like the old Tundra. Because apparently similar size and shape = totally the same thing you guys!

The black looks a little cheesy, but eh. To me, the DCSB balance of cab, hood, and bed looks more off overall. Still waiting to hear delivery date for me ACLB TRD OR in white.

Yeah looks nothing like a gen 1 Tundra. I guess the whole hood and bed thing are going on with both though....

if it makes you feel better about buying a 15 then thats great. I know many people struggle with that decision and sometimes have buyers remorse.

I dont think it looks like the old tundra myself, if anything it looks like a little brother to the current model. But as always, looks are subjective.

Why are they still putting a chrome rear bumper on trucks with the rest of the truck including the front bumper color matched? Do some people prefer that style over the color matched ?

I prefer and am getting the chrome on my OR. I don't really think it looks better but it will be more durable/show scratches less.

It's different. But mostly it's a knee jerk reaction to the contrast of it on the silver truck. The white truck you can barely see it.

I think Toyota has done a great job with the new trucks. Great execution of design evolution ! ! No truck is going to be perfect, I think Toyota has done a great Job. Beer is Good. Don`t ask me what design evolution is, I just made that shit up. In a year I will be exchanging my 2010 4Runner for a new Tacoma.

I prefer the chrome rear bumper. I guess I'm old school and used to seeing that on the trucks I grew up with. I think the chrome bumper is more "truck like" - but that's just my preference. I don't really like the chrome on the front end though.

I agree. I do think the rear chrome bumper is more truck like. Its not like a chrome bumper is flashy like all those gaudy chrome accessories people put on thier vehicles.

I wondered why they forced you to get a color matched bumper if you have blind spot monitoring. From what I can tell, the ends (the part that is either chrome or painted) has to be fiberglass or something similar on the trucks with BSM so the system's radar can shoot through from the inside. I'm concerned about what will happen when they get dragged on the ground.

You ain't seen nothin' yet. You'd better poke your eyes out now with a pair of after market hood struts or never come back to these forums because within a week there are going to be some really graphic shots of the 3rd gen from angles you didn't know existed.

Thinking I'll just turn away and ride off back to the 2nd gen section, its just like watching a train wreck, you cant help but look, or that girl in yoga pants that has no business being in yoga pants and though you are disgusted you continue to look in awe.
