I just got a PM from another member who got his Tool Mounts today. Apparently I sent him (3) wrong sized bolts for the QuickFists - he said 3 of them were 5/16 (should've been 1/4-20 x 1" long).

I think Fastenal screwed-up and threw some wrong bolts in my order, so I need to double-check them all when I get home tonight.

Thanks to @willee51 for letting me know - if anyone else received the wrong bolts/hardware PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I will send out the right hardware or give a refund so you can source the right hardware locally.

    Sorry for any inconvenience! :)

    Thanks Luke! :)

Just got home from work and checked the rest. I did find a few more 5/16-20 mixed-in with the 1/4-20, I just hope no one else got the wrong bolts by accident

Sending replacement bolts out tonight, and I need to order more hardware anyway (running low on everything!!!)

EDIT: Whoops, I thought I asked in the DIY thread, not the FS thread. So...free bump haha. I'll ask over in that thread.

Can anyone point me in the right direction with where to find that lockable knob for the hi-lift mount? I cannot seem to find one searching online for a 3/8-16 lockable knob.

Also, will these t-slot nuts work? The height and depth are the measurements I am unsure of.

I'm currently not taking orders on the mounts right now. I don't have the time right now, and need to replenish stock on a bunch of stuff before making any more sets. Once the holidays are over, and I re-order the hardware I need, I will open it up again.

I have (3) sets of the Hi-Lift Mounts ready to go that are still For Sale.

Also, if you don't want to wait to buy a set, you can make your own:

How much? I'm about to pull the trigger on a Hi Lift right now.

EDIT: Just read through your original post. $40 I see. Do you still have a kit left? The Hi Lift Loc-Rac requires drilling into the truck bed rail. Not sure I like that idea.

Wondering if there's another way to lock it in place aside from your locking kit. I've got no topper on my truck yet so the Hi Lift would be easy game for thieves.

Hey man, I still have 3 sets bent up and ready to go.

As far as locking goes, I haven't found an easier way than the lock-knob and Torx screw. I've seen some guys chain them up or drill a hole in the bolt for a small pad lock or lock-pin. Others have used a Tire Lock lug nut as well.

Hmm ok. Well I need a mount system since I ordered my Hi Lift already. LoL! Just trying to find a cost effective locking method. The key knob seems very simple though! Maybe I just pony up the $25 for your lock system and deal with it. LoL

Any chance you have some of these hilift mounts laying around still? I realize this thread is a year old haha

HiLift sells the knobs. Either 3/8"-16 or 1/2"-13 thread sizes iirc
