I got a set and put them on the truck. The old mirrors did not have heaters or the LED turn signals. The new ones have both. There is one wire on the new mirror that doesn't hook up to anything - the heater I am assuming. I haven't tested the turn signals, but I will in a few minutes after I write this. Is there a way to hook up the heater - a new switch on the dash somewhere maybe? tied to the defroster on the heater controls? Any advice appreciated. not necessary, but would be nice to know.

My wife is not thrilled about the appearance but I am happy to have working tow mirrors now for our travel trailer...much safer.

    Thanks.

OK - so I found the actual instructions in the box the mirrors came in - lo and behold there is also a couple of wire harness assemblies included for hooking up the LED lights, so I have to go back and do that to get the blinkers to work. Also, they say that they did not provide all the parts needed inside the truck (switch, timer, relay, etc) to make the heater work - but pointed to a thread on this site for instructions on how to do that.

So, i'll do the LED lights this week, and do some more reading and parts ordering before tackling the heater function. no biggie for now.

The heated mirrors is a function you need to wire up if you want them to work. There is a write up on how to do it here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-heated-mirrors-diy-mod.193528/

Or there is also some guy who sells everything done up as a plug and play kit here :spy:

As far as the looks of the ProEFX mirrors I think they can look pretty good on the right truck. Check this one out.

Thanks for the link. I like them on the truck, and my wife actually agreed they are not too horrible.

I just PM'd you about getting a set of the wiring harnesses for the heated mirror install...nice write up, thank you.
