I have a 2002 TRD and its in fantastic shape except for rust through on the front bumper and rust showing on rear bumper. As a novice I need some advice:
    1. Should I replace or try to have the rear bumper with no rust through re-plated.
    2. What are the best replacement bumpers?
    3. I live in Boston Metro West, do you know anyone who would do the work at a reasonable cost?

Thanks, have you installed this one. Wondering how long it took and how hard it was.

rockauto.com has some starting around $135 (black) that are decent. hit the backside with undercoating to help it last longer. It's not OEM but your not towing from the bumper either :)

If you have the cash, go with Shrock Works for the front. Awesome bumpers for sure. They do take time to receive after you order... be patient.
For the rear, build your own.

I bought this rear bumper on Amazon and installed it in 1.5 hours. Great quality and fit perfectly. Very close to OEM (rubber pattern is slightly different I think). Would highly recommend it.

My front bumper is a redipped OEM bumper and I bought it at chrome dipping shop for $125. They had lots of different bumpers for all sorts of cars and trucks. They advertised it on craigslist and I was happy to find it. Was cheaper and thicker then the other aftermarket front bumpers.

Bringing this back to the top because I'm looking for a quality chrome rear bumper. Repops vary in price from $130-$500 but is there any difference in the quality of the chrome? I don't want to get one that shows rust 90 days after purchase like the one that's on my truck now. Any guidance is appreciated.

Got rear-ended Sunday. I need a high-quality chrome rear bumper replacement. Anyone have recommendations for a new one that is built heavy enough to hold up?

I never got any replies so I ended up buying a decent used one. I’m going to look into having it rechromed and then swap it out with the repop that’s on my truck now.
