Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I installed mine myself on my 15 with 3k miles.

The only person who could answer that for sure is the dealer you plan to have install it. However, they can't just flat out void your warranty.

I don't think I have seen a thread on using a fit kit from an FJ yet. But I wouldn't be scared to do it if it was my only option.

I love my supercharger. This situation sucks, I am sure many other people would love them in the future.

I strongly suspect the discontinuation was largely due to the 2016, with the new HP and torque lower than a blown 2005-15, and no easy way for them to strap a blower on the newer more complex engine. . The previous gen would be a few thousand bucks away from more power than a brand new truck could hope for.

I believe the new engines with more gears are going to be a hunting mess with my driving and towing. . With the 6spd and supercharger my 2015 never needs downshifting at highway speeds.

Hey thanks man you're slowly unwinding this knot I have in my gut ... I'll need to look into it more but maybe I will just do the work myself and act like I always had it .. The service people at my dealership seem to be kooks anyway . Is the end install just as clean looking as one meant for the Tacoma?, or is there any kind of jankys or Rigging that has to be done that's apparent could transfer into unreliability ?...

The intercooler and hood latch bracket would need to be modified. If the modification is Done well I don't think it would be any more janky than the original Tacoma kit. It is well put together its just not the complex part of the system.

doesn't really matter, the part number in the description is for a tacoma...it's an old kit.

Yes, I said weird though because I thought the Tacoma and Tundra used a different kit. Even back then.

The hood bracket is available for the Tacoma as I purchased one to go along with my FJ fit kit

Maybe he was referring to the 4.0 v6 Tundra? Otherwise, it's clearly usable for the '05-'11 Tacoma's.

I crossed over the GrapeVine from SoCal to Norcal in 6th gear on cruise control, saw a spike of 5 lbs of boost at one point when it was pretty steep, but rpms stayed pretty constant and it never felt like it was straining or bogging down.

Yea...Im definitely going to try to race every 2016 I see lol. I really hope its someone with an attitude about 3rd gens better than 2nd gens, too. Theyll be in for quite a surprise when i smoke them.

Or in Rock Lobsters case, when he barely pulls ahead of them for a split second before an old lady on a scooter beats them both.

Anybody know what's up eith the valve body upgrade? Is it done judt using the parts supplied from the Transgo or Sonnax kit? Or do you have to get both to make it work?

It looks like both kits have just about the same amount of things, Sonnax seems to supply a little more with theirs though.

I had posted this link on page 90-something. I had asked the retailer if they meant to say it fits a Tacoma in their questions section. Got no response.

I'm in need of a fit kit, so I went ahead and ordered it. I'll be getting it next week. I figure if it is not correct fit kit, I can return it.

IPT is just the company who does the work, not the brand Christian. They still use stuff from either Transgo, or Sonnax to do the work to modify the valve body. I'm trying to figure out if you need one, the other, or both do do the mod is the thing.

Because they don't sell the kit. They only do the work.
