I have my engel 65qt running long ways behind the driver seat. I also don't have my rear seats in and I pulled the cubby. The fridge touches the back wall and my seat. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1443720217.110227.jpg

I should be around this weekend if you want to stop by. I don't know of anyone local that has these. Maybe I should bring in a Trail Toys line of fridges. :D

Yes, when I'm driving I plug it into outlet in the back. Just make sure you turn on the inverter before you put the truck into drive (automatics) and don't forget to turn it back on after short stops. I have an auxiliary battery in the bed which I plug into while camping.

As far as drawer slides, I got the KV 8800 which is heavy duty, probably overkill, but relatively inexpensive and has a very long slide.

Good point. Or get some sort of tray for food that sits above the slushy ice, but I still want a fridge.

Does anyone with a Whynter know if it has a low-voltage shutoff?

If you're camping, then you're doing it correctly.

I don't get all the wet slushy food in my ice chest. I freeze 1/2 gallon milk jugs and use them. They last a good three to four days.

When I use a kid, we would go camping for a week or longer. My mom used to put dry ice in the ice chest. No water mess, just don't touch the ice.

The fridge is in my future plans, so I can take longer trips.
