dropped off our 19 month old Lab today at a training kennel.

She will be there for the month. Kinda like summer camp and boot camp for dogs.

Bitter sweet. I already miss her. :(

But we do go over in two weeks, and each weekend after...to train with her and the trainer.

My God...I can't believe how much I miss her. :(

Saturday can't get here quick enough. And we only will spend about an hour with her, until next Saturday.

I know the effort will be worth it, but DAYMNNNN...I never realized how attached I was to this animal. :pout:
The hardest part when she comes home, is going to be resisting spoiling her.

Well. We went to the kennel this morning and viewed the trainer work with our pup Chloe. Then we trained with her for a while.

She is doing awesome. Her command response is beginning to get crisp. Her sit...down...stay...here...place...is great. She only broke command a couple times.

It was a great visit. After training was through, we stayed a while and played with her...spoiled her a little, gave her treats and new toys, and it was fun.

I was so happy to see my girl. And the trainer said she is one of the fastest retrievers he's seen. She has a great nose, she is very bird aware and is a perfect canidate for gun dog retriever training. If we go that route it will probably be beginning of next year or spring. That's a 3 month intensive program.

I'm real happy with the results after only 2 weeks. We go back next Saturday and again in two weeks.

    Wow!!!

Spent the morning at the kennel training and brought her home today. She is spot on!!!

One month with the pros and her response to commands are sharp. Now it's up to me to continue the reassertion until January when she goes back for the 3 month hard core gun dog retriever training.

The trainers believe her high engergy works to advantage once harnessed into commands.

    SHE COULD BE A CHAMPION!!!!

God I love this animal. She is my blessing.
