Dam that's cheap for 93 how come we don't got 93? anyone run the ethanol free gas?

 

Think its like 2.43 for 87 at Safeway Ewa.

 

I was gonna ask about ethanol free. Its not that much more expensive. Worth it?

something that's a highly polar solvent and will solublize random shit in your tank and gas lines, buttfucking your engine when it burns?

Ethanol meets all these requirements to be the shittiest thing to add to gas

from my own personal results its worth it. I got 26mpg on my beater truck when it usually gets 20-24 when I do the same driving. Its 89 octane here and the same price as 92 in some places, but like one place in hilo its 30cents more than regular gas of the same grade. I know ive done my tacoma with it and had better gas mileage, cant say how it affects it tho.

my dads shindaiwa is a dinosaur, didnt change the gas lines since he got it and always liked using ethanol free. After I started using it(2 years ago), the gas lines gummed out and carb got clogged. Changed it, kept using ethanol blend and same thing. Ive been buying ethanol free again so hopefully it doesnt happen. I have my own and had to change the primer bulb cause it got soft and fell apart. Didnt have a problem with the lines or carb *knock on wood* but its only a few, maybe 4 years old. We empty the tanks after every use too.

oh and I rarely do full fill ups of it, I usually just use costco gas(its $2.50 here) and when I fill up my gas container with ethanol free at the local tesoro or fuel dock, ill fill up my tank from wherever its at with ethanol free. but im also lazy and sometimes ill just get $20, put 2 gallons in the container and fill the rest in my truck.

Did the ET ride today so 80's lol but they got King Kong ride coming up summer 2016.

 

For me it's close to work and home (kinda). Shell in Kaneohe near the mall. And Aloha in Ewa.

 

If your in the Waipio area, the Tesoro station by Zippys also has ethanol free.
