Wanted to gauge interest to see if you guys might be interested in some 100% bolt on LED bar brackets. I make them for 4th Gen 4Runners and now that I am a 2nd Gen owner again I thought I could make some for the Tacos too. They are laser cut 3/16" steel, require no cutting or drilling to mount, unless you want the flush mount version that requires cutting out the stock lower grill. I sell these for $113 shipped. If enough people are interested I can design and start to sell them for 2nd Gens (2005 - 2011) as well. Let me know what you guys think!

has anyone used this on a 2015 .. as I was wondering if there was enough clearance to mount this.
Plz confirm if you have used it and no fitting problem as this would be perfect for what I need it for.

Anybody have experience with light bars flickering? Had the light bar on for ~10 minutes and turned the truck off. Not a minute later, the light bar starts to strobe in the 3 different sections in a "law enforcement" pattern. The left section of the bar would blink fast twice, then the middle section, then the right section. Also, I had to cut the power to the fuse box because my OTRATTW switch would not turn it off. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting? I'm thinking I should swap relays and check connections.

What size bar and wattage? Possible that it just needs a steady 12v to operate. Depending on the circuitry inside I would guess. Idk. Because if your truck ran at idle with the bar on, it may have drained your battery just enough to make it not operate correctly after you shut it off as it drained it below 12v in that minute... Being at idle for that 10 minutes would be enough to drain it as idle output from your alt wouldn't be keeping up, if it's high power that is... Have you had it on before w/o the truck on for an extended period and not experience this?

Thanks for your response. Didn't clarify in my first post but all of the flickering issues happened after the truck was off and after I switched the bar off. I went inside and saw it through the window and had no idea what was going on because everything was off.

The bar is a 42" 240W. It's rated at 30A and I have it hooked up to a 40A fuse with a 20-40A relay. I am also running a Diehard 31M that I bought in March. I have had it on before for quite a while and have never experienced this before. Heaven forbid I roll down the road and it randomly starts the LEO pattern, really don't want to try to explain that to the police.

Ohhh I get it now. Ha. Yeah in that case, check relay then wiring/connections.. otherwise you can make a jumper wire and try wiring the bar directly to the battery instead of going through the relay/wiring harness. Maybe wire in a fuse if you got one as to not damage the circuitry. But if it flickers at that point.. then it's gotta be internal circuitry issue or bad connection inside. Did you have any rain or car wash recently? Any condensation in bar? Maybe water got into the bar?

Gotcha, I'll check on that when the weather clears. We've had a monsoon of rain for the past 4 days, that would very likely have something to do with it. Haven't seen any condensation in the bar but didn't have a chance to check tonight because of the rain.

Yeah check that relay first! Water gets in them easily. But. Kinda weird that it would make the bar flicker in different sections like that. I had that happen with some smaller light bars. But the whole thing would flicker. Even with not being turned on. had to remove the fuse. Best thing, if it is the relay, is try to waterproof it somehow. Or at very least position it vertical, with the cap on top and wires going down. So water is less likely to seep in there.

Who is the current go-to for those that can't afford Rigid?

I'm looking for at least one, maybe two, double row 20" bars for a BAMF mount.

Mine was flickering and the fuse was loose. Like it rattle out of its place or something. I ditched it and replaced with a new fuse and no problems after that..

Oh yeah, I forgot I had that problem once too on my 4.5" led cannons harness that came with the lights. The fuse holder was really cheap. I just bent the fuse tabs out a little.

Do you use Weather Pack on your 40" and 50" onX6 bars?

"Delphi Packard Electric Systems rates Weather Pack at 0 - 20 amps maximum."
    http://www.whiteproducts.com/faqs.shtml

    40" onX6 "Wattage/Amps: 252W / 21A"
    http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail?ItemNumber=454003

    50" onX6 "Wattage/Amps: 315W / 26.25A"
    http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail?ItemNumber=455003

It seems like Metri Pack 280 with a 30A rating would be a better solution.

can anyone point me in the right direction to find a led light bar button that is as close a match to the interior switches already in the truck? the only space I have available is in the center as all my spaces to the left of the steering wheel are taken (2014 dcsb trd). there are way to many options out there. thanks.

We do use the Weatherpack connectors on our larger lights. We have found them to be under-rated and during extensive testing have found no issues.
When installed correctly they have no issues working w/ 12 gauge wiring and over 20Amps.

    Thank You,
    Bailey, Baja Designs
