I love to sleep outside. I've spent a few nights on the porch...with a pile of empty longnecks in a bucket next to my lounger. :D

Just curious if anyone has found a dealer in the PHX area willing to sell at a better price than the $500 below MSRP that I could find about a month ago.

I cant ever see a need for the 6 foot bed that the 5 foot couldnt handle. But even more so, if you need bed space for hauling larger loads with a family the tacoma is not the answer. its rear wheel wells cut into the bed space. i would leave the tail gate down, or leave whatever it was propped up against the tail gate. When it's propped up at an angle, the length of material is shorter since its sitting at an angle now. Unless you do it for a living, i hardly ever see the bed being used enough to warrant a smaller cabin space.

Double cab rear seats that fold down flat make more sense and has more room than the access cab would with the seats folded up.

    Then again, it's your prerogative.

Dang, this has got me nervous. I'm thinking on test driving a 4x2 SR next week and hope the 4 can cut it for me. I test drove a 2012 4x4 regular cab earlier this year and didn't think the 2.7 was that bad.

I hear you. Now I'm looking at the v6 SR5s because I don't think the i4 will cut it loaded with camping gear going up the mountain. I'm looking at the config sheet and it looks like the only SR v6 is a double cab.

Forgot to ask, did you get to test drive in both ECT and normal? Wonder if there is any difference to note between the two transmission modes. Thanks!
