Get back up to snuff cuz it wasn't maintained. I got xm radio in it.
I've had an oil leak from the valve gasket cover (from mechanic tightening nuts too tight) and just the other day as I started up my truck, it misfires. I thought it may have been the head gasket again (cuz I saw white smoke out the tailpipe too) but while talking to a better mechanic he suggested to check my spark plugs. SO that's the next thing to do.

Well I really hope MT-90 holds up to the hype because I just spent more on it than I have ever spent on oil. But my transmission is getting a bit notchy and makes some interesting noises so I'm willing to give it a shot. Still shifts tightly and holds gears perfectly so hopefully it is just a bit low and a full fresh refill with Redline will take care of it.

I was finally convinced by a buddy with an 88 300zx that shifted like complete garbage (ground 3rd no matter what, and refused to do 1st until you were under 5mph) before and now shifts very nicely and isn't noisy.

No idea, but I'll have to do this soon as well as my rear cams are frozen on both sides. Luckily they are frozen perfectly in line. So let us know what you go with and how it turns out.

Neither. Stick to OEM for cam bolts.

That's what I did. The dealer here in Canada is charging me 28.20 each for the cams and 37.40 each for the plates. I am reusing the bolts. Pricey I know, but I just don't like the look of the cams on ebay. The machine quality looks bad.

Anybody interested in doing a group buy on BAMFs Behind-the-grill LED bar? I have one on order but I don't think he has any built. I was thinking something close to Christmas.

My idea was to combine the bar with a 20" LED from Rigid and then mounting it through a cutout in a satoichi grill. That way I won't have to mount it on the bumper.

The dealer wants to charge me about 23.00 a piece. So I better check and see what I can reuse. I know the bolts are good.

yeah my bolts were fine. the cam nuts (or plates as the dealer called them) also seemed ok. it is the bolt sleeve with the cam that i will prolly have to take a sawz all to.

Well I finally installed this thing, it has been sitting around waiting for me to make a wiring harness for it for a while. The biggest pain in the ass was getting the wiring through all of the insulation in the headliner. But it is all wired up, door switch functions, and the lights can be used individually as well. I got it from a 93 4Runner and it fits perfectly, the tan is a bit darker but it honestly doesn't look too bad. I used my mirror from the taco on it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I am waiting on some LEDs for it and I only had one halogen bulb in the mean time. I have pics of the wiring if anyone gives a crap but it's pretty simple either way.

Some tacos came from the factory with them. They didn't change the design from 90-04 so I got one from a less coveted vehicle.

Took my truck on the trails today. Basically to see how the lift and bilstein shocks did, it was fun. There wasn't that much mud but I got her a little dirty. Also hit a small ass trench went fine the first time but the second time coming back I made it impossible to cross, I tried it coming back and failed but the mighty Tacoma made it out without a problem (the front skid plate came in handy today) I will take a picture of the small trench tomorrow.

No it's Jonsangel's old kit, though a bit tamer...
