I never did share this up here but I got an 01 4Runner to go along beside the taco a few weeks ago. I just put on a set of 16" Level 8 MK6 wheels this past weekend

Damn. I kinda figured that much would happen but still hoped it worked. I may not know when to use "effect" opposed to "affect" but I do know car audio. Is the person you bought it from going to give you a refund?

If you are still looking for a double din look into alpine, not saying pioneer isn't good, just that I've been running alpine for about 9 years. I've had a few different models and they all worked flawless, I even had the double din that's in my Tacoma in my comp vehicle originally, even after all that abuse it still works with zero problems.

Edit: forgot you probably still have the other pioneer, I guess this is only if you're still looking to switch to a different one

Yeah I'll probably just keep my old radio now. Only bought the other one as an impulse buy because of the apple CarPlay haha.

    Ebay is a fucking joke.

Bought a listing to get the screen "fixed" or "replaced" and I had to ship the whole head unit to a guy in Texas(Shipping there was on my dime -$13 USPS flat rate). The listing was to replace the screen if broken or unresponsive, which the unit was. Wouldn't press any options at all.
I even messaged the guy BEFORE buying the listing explaining what was wrong with the unit and he said that he was 100% that the touch screen was messed up and it would fix the issue. Okay, great. I paid the $110 and shipped the unit to him to get repaired, he "fixed" it the same day and got it shipped back out to me the next day. Awesome.

Got it back on Friday hoping to install it and be on my way with a radio that works. NOPE. Radio still does the SAME FUCKING THING it did before I shipped it to the guy who was supposed to "replace/fix" the screen.

Messaged the guy and he said that he tested it multiple times before shipping it back out and it was fully functional. Okay, so what happened between here and there? The one I have does not work just like before I sent it to him.

Messaged him again asking what I could do to fix it, he said to try to reset it, I did. He said remove the face and put it back in and press it firmly to make sure it was it, I did. STILL DOES NOT WORK.

    Seller doesn't reply now.

Called eBay customer support and spoke to a woman on the phone for about 35 minutes. Told her what was happening, what was wrong and everything and what the listing was for.
After talking to her on the phone for 30+ minutes all to just figure out that i'm not protected by anything because it's a service and I can't actually send something back to get a refund. So she said unfortunately there's nothing they can do about it and i'll just need to work it out with the seller.

To boil it down, DO NOT buy a "service" on eBay. It's a fucking joke and you're essentially giving someone free money for something they did or did not do and you're fucked if it doesn't work.

Out of $110 and the shipping costs. Such a fucking joke.
