;) Kinda hehe the 24-70mm II was a rental specifically for that trip from borrowlenses.com to see if I'll like the lens + focal range. I've been contemplating selling my 24mm 1.4 and 70-200 2.8 to buy that lens

No need to be sorry! That's what this thread is for :) This thread and the weekly challenge is probably my most lurked thread. Used to be the funny gif thread but I haven't made my way over there in a bit.

How do you like the 24mm? I've thought about getting it. Id keep the 70-200. Be perfect with the 24-70

Those Yosmite pics can't have been too recent. I wouldn't think waterfalls would be present given Californias drought scenario.

I enjoy the 24mm 'wide angle' shots and would say it's on my body 80% of the time. Back when I first started shooting I would have hated it because I was more into the portrait style shooting and achieving the 'bokeh'. I love the 70-200 as well but it's easier to haul the prime lens around. IIRC, you're shooting with a 60D, correct? Should just rent it for a few days or a week and see how you like it.

Yea I'm on a 60d. Is yours the 24 l series or the STM one?

    I really wish I could afford a 6D..and a 24-105 and 70-200. And the new16mm.

24-105 to me isn't that great honestly. The f/4 thing kills me with L glass. I would just save the extra $$ for the faster ones. I have absolutely no complaints with the 24-70 f/2.8 II except spending a well worth it $1850 on it (150 mail in rebate) lol

And definitely get a 6D when you can, I was reading reviews and then actually compared one side to side with a friends 5D2 and the 6D took the cake by far since it uses a slightly modified version of the 5D3 sensor. Far less grainy and better colors. Most reviews say the same, as well as the fact that you can save so much money over the 5D3 and get essentially the same performance due to the sensor. Yeah, you only get 11 AF points instead of 61 on the 5d3 and the center point autofocus accuracy is better on the 5d3. HOWEVER the 6D center AF point accuracy is on par with the 5D2 and added bonus 6D is better in low light.

As you can see I've been doing my research. Entry FF 6D, to me, seems like a great bang for buck. And if you thought about buying a used 5D2, the 6D has all way newer components and is about $1500 new, vs a 5d2 used for $1300 which you may need to replace the shutter in.

I was just there. The only falls with a trickle coming out were Nevada and Vernal falls.

Recently took a trip up north (Cali) and got some pretty decent shots while out hiking. Photos were taken with our Nikon 3200.DSC_0270.jpg DSC_0187.jpg DSC_0268.jpg DSC_0216.jpg
