Well....the next time they pull up next to a much heavier 4Runner from 2003 on, with the old 4.0 just slightly more enhanced since 2010..with no Atkinson, no direct injection , and old five speed auto which gets only one fewer mpg highway and city and simply wastes the 2016 Taco coming off the line at a stop light, they will begin to wonder, wtf is the advantage of this shit Camry motor ?

I guess "life style" now means we are going back to the flower child days with motors with the performance of a VW bus.

All bolt ons + tuning solution. Capable of running high 13's.

This is a truck I would happily take home.

Add a tune and I can forget completely about the big difference in handling compared to my current car.

I know that some people dont care about acceleration. I do care.
I love the push into the seat feeling. You can have fun without breaking the law.

Going back to the main topic who will be the first to post a 0-60 run?

My brother in law is the sales manager at my Toyota dealer and he ordered my taco for me. So I do feel an obligation to him to purchase it regardless, however I am still going to be calling my local Ford dealer and ask them about pricing on the F 150 with a 3.5 liter EcoBoost just to see.

I was a licensed road racer for 7 years (and I raced at the expert level for 6 of those years)so the feeling of good acceleration is something that is very important to me whether I need it or not.

The specs for my 2103 PreRunner Double Cab say its curb weight is 3950. The 2016 TRD Sport DC is 4180. Am I looking at the wrong thing? I don't see the 950 pounds you speak of.

Really doesn't factor into my buying decision, I'll be getting a Tacoma if it's 5 seconds or 10 seconds.

Thats terrible. My 2nd gen 2.7 with auto trans was always a dog and still is. 290k miles and shes still ticking. Just a slow poke. If 3rd gen is slower, i feel their pain

point was made, the 0-60 doesn't factor into my decision. seemed pretty obvious to me.

Its obvious you only wanted to add your $.02 as my question wasnt if anyone else factored that into their buying decision. The question was will a new owner try a run and post the time. "Obviously" that went over your head.
