Yeah, that's the thing; the Colorado looks like a penis in the front that's hanging on the ground. It's completely worthless off road.

With a front end mod I bet it could be a pretty sweet ride. I had a GMC Sierra for a long time and it was a great truck. I prefer Toyota obviously but I think having that diesel option is hard to beat.

You have a lot of people agreeing with you....oh, not the bag part. Seriously, it's all about frequency and distance. One can push it a mile or two to the public ramp. But that's good advice for long trips.

I tow my Casita less than 10x year. But I might tow it more if I could have a pickup that had more power.

Hopefully I'll end up with a DCLB. Going to tow a pontoon boat and my 95 Tacoma wheeling rig on occasion. Towed with a 1500 Chevy 4.8 before. Once our TRAC truck gets a few miles on it I may have to borrow it and see how it does since nobody has towed much yet

OP, just hook up a trailer and see how it does, then report back. I will try to get mine on a trailer soon and see how it does, but I doubt I will trailer it much.

Not completely. With a good head of steam you can make it quite a ways out into the woods. You may be not be able to turn around and come back, but that's Ok. Like many GM products, they make good target practice.

    Just a few
I have a 2010 and I rented a casita for a wheeling trip and towed it a total of 1000 miles round trip and the truck did just fine. The truck are through gas going up and down hills but the temp gauge never moved.

That's awesome. I just worry about the grades I have to cross. I have to tow my Casita to over 10,000 ft. I don't expect to go fast, but it would be nice if the new Tacoma wasn't so stressed when towing like my 2002 is.

in DFW. Ford is knocking off $12 to $14k. You just have to take a newspaper ad and insist on the price. I had a sales guy laugh at me once when I mentioned a competitors ad. He said he had never seen one sold for the ad price. I fired him and got a new sales guy. Next truck I bought I bought for less than the ad price. I was tempted to hunt that sales guy down and show him.

Just finished a week long trip camping trip at Arches National Park near Moab. Towed my 2500lb 2004 Starcraft 10RT trailer approximately 1200 miles over the course of a week with my 2016 Tacoma DCSB Offroad AT. With food, camping gear, mountain bikes, and extra water, my trailer was probably closer to 3000lbs. Round trip fuel economy was approximately 12.5 MPG. We started in Phoenix at 1100ft and went through Flagstaff at 7000ft elevation. No problem keeping up with traffic, even on the major grades. I monitor the coolant temp with a bluetooth OBDII adapter and the Android App "Torque", she never got above 208F and spend most of the time well under 200F.
