    Hey guys,

I read countless of threads about this but would like this one to focus only on aftermarket, modifications, and work-arounds regarding the braces my truck has.

I saw someone paint their braces black, but would like to get a different grill. I tried to get the OR grill to my TRD-Sport but the dealer wouldn't budge.

Side note, got mine $500 under MSRP and got the Tonneau cover, Premium Technology w/JBL, and cover mats for free.

I cannot find any aftermarket grills at the moment so I am thinking of painting the braces.

I kinda like the sport grill better than the OR grill, looks really good in person IMHO. Other mods like better tires would be better money spent again IMHO.

Um...the Sport and OR both have the same grill.

They are referring to the Limited, SR5, and SR versions of the grill

Agreed. Looks a lot better proportioned in person, IMO. I dislike chrome but wouldn't mind keeping the grille as is for some time.

Got ya....kind of confused when they specifically referred to the OR and TRD Sport....not the others, even though that is an SR (or SR5) in the pic.

Good to know I "thought" the OR was black on black with no chrome. Mine is a kinda grey chrome on chrome to match the MGM paint!! It's mighty fine looking in my opinion. WAY better in person and even better when seeing it driving down the road, yeah buddy. Definitely stands out with running lights on late in the day before dark.

The MSRP includes the Tech package and JBL, so how was that free? Or are you saying the money you saved covered that package?

Is the cover dealer installed or factory now? If factory isn't that also included in the MSRP?

I like the middle trucks grill the best.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The money I saved covered the options.

Yeah I wanted the SR5 grill but they wouldn't let me swap it over. Wish someone was willing to trade me.

I am in the same boat. Never liked Chrome accents so I am trying to get used to the grill.

Can always purchase one from Toyota if you like the other grill better. I'm not a fan of the shiny chrome grill but it wasn't enough to stop me from getting the other options I wanted.

I'm not going to take credit for this photoshop, but I think it looks quite nice. I plan on pastidipping my grill to match this.

How much did that cost you and where did you order it from? I am definitely willing to do the same.

    Thanks.

I had to order the entire assembly for a SR5. Wanted a SR grille assembly but the don't offer in inferno. I work at a toyota dealership so ordered thru my parts dept. if I remember correctly cost was like $388 with a $544 retail I'd have to double check tomorrow

Can you post up pics on the differences of the SR5 and SR grills?

One thing I am not to fond about Toyota is they will make all sorts of models, features, options, mix-match, trims etc. etc. but they do not let you pick your own grill.
