A cool loop is Cherry to Mingus to Jerome for lunch and then out to Chino and back to Prescott. It's more scenic than rough trails but it's a fun ride. There's lots of little 4WD roads along the way that you can explore too.
Let me know and I'll shoot you some road numbers.

If you're credit is good then a credit union is the best as they typically have lower rates. All you have to do is have an account. Open one up with the minimum deposit amount (usually around $50) and apply away.

Typically you need to have an account with them for awhile; at least that's what I was told. I had an account with mine for about 7 months before I asked for a car loan. Took them a day to process and they came back with 2.4%
Toyota Financing gave me 1.9% and I used that as leverage to get the price I want cause dealers make money off the Financing.

Before buying mine a salesman told me the usual rates for Tacoma's or maybe it was the current Toyota offerings. I forget the number now but it wasn't a good one.

On a whim and without having an account with an CU I filled out an online app with Canyon State CU. They called me back the next day and said approved at 1.99% with auto payments. I also ended up refi'ing another car with them. Went in and set up the account, then went back once I had the final number from my dealer so they could cut a check. I will have half of each payment direct deposited into the Canyon State account each pay check.
Plus no payments for 90 days.

I got approved before going in.
Had to go in to set up the accounts (checking and savings-both free).
Then go back with the PO from the dealer for them to cut a check.

You people in Arizona need to knock it off with making something fascinating even out of most mundane public buildings.

I enrolled with PenFed and @1930 and was approved for a new loan @1945. Most places are really quick now if you have good credit
