    Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I have exhausted my resources. I keep getting conflicting information. I'm trying to figure out what wheels I can buy that won't cause rubbing or any problems. My truck is stock and I'd like to keep it all stock. I just want a new set of wheels and stock-size tires.

I like PROCOMP 7069 16x8 with 265/70/16. I've attached a picture of the look I'm going for. Would this work without rubbing or interference? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

16" may rub on the calipers due to the reverse barrel. A 17" will for sure clear the calipers

I 2nd the above, they will fit. I had minor rubbing (with no lift) on my 265's but all I needed was a light trimming of the fender liner.

    Hi Paradigm,

When you say you "light trimming of the fender liner", do you happen to have any pictures of that? I'm just curious as to what this is going to take. And it's so weird how some Tacoma's need trimming and others don't.

    Hi Toyota4x46921,

Did you have to trim at all? Does it rub anywhere?

    Hi LukeBo4x4,

What about yours? Did you have to trim or it fit perfect? By the way, I do not have a lift kit and I plan to keep it stock.

Well I'm lifted on 285s right now but when I first got the wheels my truck was stock with 265 70 16 and there was no rubbing or trumming , then I got a small lift and 265 75s and they rubbed ever so slightly and now with full ome lift and 285s no rubbing.

    Hi sirsaechao,

Is your truck lifted or stock height? Did you have to trim any of the fender plastic?

Lifted with Kings coil overs and Wheeler's 5 leaf rear leaf. No issues with rubbing. Below is stock height with 4.25" backspaced wheels with 265/75R16's with no issues with rubbing either:

I have the 8069 version (gloss black, discontinued) same model number almost exactly, mine are 8069-6883, they'll fit just fine and will also work with Tundra brakes.
