I read somewhere that the x just means it's an updated version of that spring. They used to have sagging problems..

887 coils have the same spring rate as the 885 coils, they are just 5mm longer which gives you about 0.5" of extra lift over the 885 coils due to the additional preload. Other than that they are the same exact coils.

I would NOT put 886 coils on a prerunner. Understanding the prerunner weighs about 230 lbs less than a 4x4 (comparing double cab 2x4 to 4x4) the 886 coils would be way too stiff. Keep in mind when ARB (OME) designed these coils they did so based off of the most common platform, double cab 4x4. This is why an 885 coil, which is supposed to offer 2.5" of lift, will provide a prerunner closer to 3". The 886 coils were designed to support a 4x4 double cab with the ARB bumper and winch. A prerunner even with a bumper and a winch still might be under the weight of just the 4x4 front end, so basically 886 coils are way over kill considering the weight they are designed to support.

Just something people need to keep in mind when selection coils, its all about the weight ;)

I ran 885s on my DCSB prerunner and they were pretty stiff. Once they broke in a bit, it wasn't super bad, and offroad they were good, but I probably should have gone with 884s

In my experience with my Toytec 2.5" springs they are super stiff on my tuck and I got a lot of lift. Running somewhere between 3.5"-4" of lift from a 2.5" spring. Access cab 4cyl 4x2 when they are rated for a Double cab V6 4x4. I would not recommend running that kind of spring rate unless you are a total bro and just want a big lift. I'm currently saving for 6112's to lower my truck. Hoping those won't be too stiff.

Questions for all the experts out there so I can try and preserve my sanity. I am well aware of that fact that no two trucks have the same fix for driveline vibration but can anyone who has installed a bundle from Headstrong of Maxtrac spindles and OME dakar leafs comment on their findings. I have tried with 2*, 2.5,* 3* and no axle shims each with so many variants of a carrier bearing drop that I've lost count and still no luck. I researched this to death and read every post about measurement but can't seem to get it right.

Lift = Vibrations. Lol, many a people have tried to chase down random vibes. Some fix it, others don't. Sounds like you've tried the majority of the fixes...you might be SOL

Is it accurate that shops won't make a one piece for a 2wd because of the longer length? I was hoping to pick one up till I read that.

I'll double check the u joints for sure, didn't think they would be done after 45k but who knows. There were also 0 vibes before the lift was installed and went from 0 to ridiculous instantly post lift. I've gone as much as about a 1" drop on the CB so the Beefed taco at 1.5" I'll give that a look as well. Didn't think id need to go that big with the dakars lifting the rear less than 3"

I don't have the driveline vibes with the lift. I also didn't need to use the carrier bearing spacer. I have the Dakars. Did you try running the truck without the carrier bearing spacer?
