Any thoughts on adding a light bar in this location with a license plate? Montana requires a front-facing plate... -_-

That sucks. Idk man. Only way would be to relocate the plate. Maybe off to the side? Make a bracket of some sort with a couple little tabs and have those tabs stick out between the valence and bumper, fold them down, and mount the plate there. Idk.

Edit: sorry for the crude photo but, something like this:

California does too and I'm pretty sure Nevada has that law. I never ran one in either state and I was never pulled over. If you get hassled for it ask how many Corvettes they write tickets to since NO ONE pops out the license plate shaped piece on the front about the size of a license plate.

If you couldn't do like the above photo what about putting it on the dash?

I bought a Trailgear bumper and haven't been bothered at all out here in California for not putting my liscence plate back on.

    OK...first timer here...
still a work in process but i have 2 23" bars facing forward, 2 (soon to be 4) 4" on the sides and (not installed yet), a 18" on the rear of my basket.
i will also be installing an overhead console from a tahoe - using the front panel for rocker switches.

and of course, lots of things on my list but as many of you know, takes $$$$$$$ v3.0.jpg

never thought about replacing the blinker - i moved the blinker bulbs to the marker lights and just have the lowers on with amber bulbs...the LEDs with an amber cover would make killer fog lights

They were pretty hard to do. I've been meaning to do a write-up on them but haven't had time. I actually got in a front end wreck and had the lower plastic valence replaced, and just haven't reinstalled them in again since. When I do I'll be doing a write-up for sure. I basically cut out the turn signal box inside, left two tabs in the plastic top and bottom, and used multiple pieces of flat stock pieces to mount them in. As well as mesh inserts in front of them to fill it in. One day I'll get around to it. Not sure when. I kinda lost access to tools so I need to get some before I do this again. For now here's the only pic I have of the backside for reference. Took a lot of creativity. I have more pics of cutting out the box if you want them. But other than that, a full tutorial is really needed to do this properly.. they're a total bitch. especially the mesh inserts I used to fill it in. I had to get longer tiny Allen bolts for the front caps on the led bar, along with tiny washers for spacers, and assemble the bars to the mesh after the mesh was installed first.

And they are 8" Cree clones of the vision x evo prime.

Haven't made my pick yet, still go back and forth a lot, but thinking about this one

    http://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...ighting/xtorch-27-light-bar.html#.VjAjToQ-Ci4

From a forum sponsor who I'd rather give my money to anyway, 10 year warranty, and looks distinct from the the 100's on eBay.

I mainly look for the warranty at this point, I paid $300 for Light Forces I managed to destroy when I hit somebody since they say proud of the bumper face because of their large profile. The bar will sit back on my bumper so no worries about bashing it on anything, and at $150 the price is competitive with Opt7 and Totron 20" bars

Ha, shit I don't remember. It was whatever ace hardware had. Something galvanized I think.

Just remember that the opening there only supports a single row bar like mine. Mine barely fit as is. If your want it to sit flush behind the opening, you might consider extending that bracket all the way back. Another Member copied it and said that when he extended his all the way back there was a spot to bolt the bracket to some other support that sits in front of the radiator, for extra support.
