Agreed. I invite anyone who doubts this to go to a dealership and look at a gen 2 and gen 3 side by side

Agreed! Plenty of pics here showing side by side views, very different looking. The 2nd Gen.
looks pretty dated next to the new one. One of the first pics I saw I put next to mine and thought
dammit....... I must have it!!! :D

Yeah it's understandable that the 2016 makes the second gen look dated... the 2 gen is a 10 year old truck. Some 2 gen owners are living in denial saying the gen 3 is the same as the gen 2

Agreed, the cab is similar on the outside but the new lines on the body really make it stand out from the 2nd gen when they are close up. And the interior is a huge upgrade. Plus all the little "nice to have" features really add up

Whenever you change out the stock components it isn't going to be the same

Any change in tires is likely going to change your ride. Especially if you use a more aggressive AT tire

I always end up using 285-305 width Nitto Grapplers. The bitch is when those things find a slight groove on the highway
that stock tires completely ignore, it will yank the truck around like a bitch.

Definitely. I'm not saying the 2nd gen is bad looking in any way. It will always look nice in my eyes. Sort of like 3rd gen 4Runners. That look will age very well
