This is my wet dream you guys.

I know I will get heat because this ain't a Tacoma. But I have a general love for off-road vehicles in general. To be honest, I would've gotten a jeep if I didn't want to haul dirt bikes around in my truck bed.

But for some strange reason, Broncos are my love. My friend has a 92, and I'm jealous of him. If it weren't for the gas straight up pouring out of his tailpipe, then I would've bought a bronco too. My plan is to have something like this when I'm older. I'm still in high school so this little dream about having one of these is gonna take some time. But I will not let this dream dye. I'm going to have one of these, I swear.............Just need to start saving about 50k.

    I had an 1985 Bronco with a 300 I6 and a 4 speed manual. Locking hubs. Manual T case.

It was one of my most loved vehicles. We later had a 1991 or so with a V8 and an auto and I didn't like it nearly as much.

That's a nice Bronco but I think $40K is a little much to spend for offroad use. I'd pay that for a full off the frame resto though.

Wasn't nearly as enjoyable to drive. Faster and more power but it drove like a bloated fish compared to the ultra nimble 1985. The 85 was a trail truck for our hunting lease and pulled our boats when we asked it too. Had vinyl interior and the newer was carpeted with cloth seats.

    Similar but miles apart.

The full restorations go for at least 50-80k.

My buddy and I talk about getting Broncos all the time. Beautiful vehicles, for sure. There are even schematics out there for engine swaps and stuff like that if you don't like the gas mileage.
But in this case, that's a lot of money for an old truck like that. Money could be better spent elsewhere.

Don't like 'em (sarcasm) but had a 73 (fricking awesome), 78 (big and nasty), and a 91... Would love to see the bobtail diesel version they showed as a prototype a couple years ago come out. Wife has an FJ, so that will do, plus I dig the Toyota brand b/c of my experiences with their trucks.

If the Bronco was still around, I may have never considered moving to Toyota, but glad I did.

I have 2015 Taco, 2010 FJ, and previously had 2011 Tundra, 2010 taco, and 2005 Taco...

I almost bought a first gen Bronco but backed out cause it needed more work than I was willing to put into it. Most of the rust spots were already fixed but still needed more. In the end it was going to be a gas guzzler so I got a 93 4Runner with a 22re. Would buy one now if a deal came around.

I had a '77 Bronco for about 10 years. It started with a 302/Auto. I transplanted a 351 Cleveland into it, with auto still. It was raised up enough to clear 33"'s. You think Jeeps get a death wobble.....You aughtta be in an early Bronco when they start wobbling! Most exciting off road event of my life was in that truck shortly after I bought it! There was this SMOKIN' HOT BLONDE I was chasing around for a while. I finally got her to go 4-wheelin' with me one night. We were on these power line trails that were the best trails in our area. This one HUGE stair stepped hill, known to us locals as "Stairway to Heaven".....I was almost to the top when the front end bounced up and back down. That had a tendency to cause the float in the Holley 600 carb to bounce up and flood the engine. She died.....And with auto, power steering, and power brakes.....go shooting back DOWN the hill backwards. I held it straight, finally managed to get it under control, and damn near piss myself. This hot blonde just squealed and laughed and said "Lets do that again".

I ALMOST left her there on the trail.

    Ah! Those where the days!

Googled this immediately after you said this, and all I saw was a huge zebra print full size. Who knew Nugent would be a Bronco fan

Ted has several early models, and a few full sized versions. He seems to especially like 'em painted black.
